HS on my tailbone - flares when I'm sitting down for too long

Recently diagnosed with HS. Most is on my inner thighs, some on my butt. Recently I've had flares on new places which kind of scares me (around the hip bones for some reason). For a long time I thought I had a pilonidal cyst until my doctor told me it was probably HS on the exact same spot a cyst would be.

It's the shittiest ever, it's the only bump that comes back, it's usually after I spend a long time sitting without changing positions, and yesterday I spent 12 hours in the airport over a delayed flight. Woke up with that area hurting. Is there anything I could do to minimise it? It's always my worst bump because of the body area it's in, and especially with this heat it's going to take a good while to burst and to drain and dry out and it really debilitates me to the point of not being able to sit down, at all.

Do authors dress FMCs this way for the quirk factor?

Just something I've noticed in a good chunk of romances. The FMCs outfit is always described at least once and most are stuff don't look right in my head. In my current read (Rewind it Back, Liz Tomforde) the fmc is described as wearing "a satin skirt, green peacoat, combat boots, graphic tee, gold and silver jewellery." In another book from the series, the FMC's fashion thing is overralls. I can't help but remember how Blake lively was styled in It ends with us. Even if the outfits aren't exactly ugly, it always seems like a way to make them different from other women ahahah. Reminds me of how characters were styled in fanfics and the polyvore outfits lol!

Books where at least half of it is tension/banter/leading up to them being together

My favorite part of reading romances is when they're not yet together. I'm looking for stories where a good chunk of the book is about the tension and the flirting leading up to the relationship. Don't want it to drag because there's like, lazy conflict plots or miscommunications. I want it to take its sweet ass time and give me that gooey feeling in my stomach. Where he has game and there's charged looks and smirks and the mmc is jealous of what's not yet his (no alpha male caveman stuff tho) and yada yada yada I think y'all get it ahahah

Please drop all the recs you have! Not into love triangles or stuff that is too dark. TIA!

Transitioning to normal skincare while getting off Accutane

Hi! I'm getting off Accutane and currently in the process of going from two a day to once a day. I woke up with one of those hard, red pimples on the side of my forehead, something I had never got while I was taking two pills a day 🥲 I'm afraid the acne will come back but I also wanted to see if as my skin returns to normal I can take care of the one off pimple with the usual skincare. My skin isn't dead dry like when I was in the full treatment and all I've putting on it has been CeraVe moisturising cream and one more fatty for areas that peel (nose/around mouth) and that one hasn't even been needed since I reduced my dose.

Can I slowly come back to using more stuff even if while in on the low dose? I was thinking of introducing CeraVe sensitive skin cleanser (cleansing dried my skin way too much and all I cleaned it with was water), the some by mi super matcha toner at night, and the usual CeraVe moisturizer. Also the Epiduo (similar to Benzac) to put on active pimples. Could this irritate my face? My doctor actually prescribed Epiduo to use during my treatment on my whole face but I thought that was excessive and risky so I didn't use it (nor needed to).

[Acne] getting back to skincare products while cutting down Accutane

When you find a holy grail after it has been discontinued...

Bought flawless brightening concealer from Showroomprive (french outlet site with daily brand sales). It was the first concealer I found that matched me perfectly to the point where it didn't look weird if I used it without foundation. It was soft and light with solid coverage and didn't crease.

I mainly use showroom for more expensive stuff that I wouldn't be able to afford as my lil old unemployed student self (if you're in Europe I highly recommend it! I mainly buy good quality bras and pricier shoes) and was always doubtful about outlet makeup because it could be expired but I don't even care now. Wherever they sell this I must acquire it. Does anyone know a product with the same finish?

Cassie from Supernatural as Hermione!

Her beautiful hair and the wardrobe really gave me H vibes! Plus the character (delicate but determined, she was a journalist solving her dad's murder).

Pretty shoes that you can walk the crap out of them in a day and not feel like death by 5 pm?

Hi!!! In dire need of help. I despise sneakers but unfortunately they're the only shoes I own that I can wear and walk around a whole day, or take to a trip. I've seen orthopedic shoes, sneaker flats, and searched for eternity shoes that I find pretty, that are truly comfortable, and within my budget (the hardest part). I'm looking at second hand options because I'm a poor little unemployed student and the cheaper the better, which causes headaches in times like these where quality is an undeniably big factor 🥲 so I'm looking either for budget friendly brands or at least known brands that I'll find in second hand sites, that sell flats/Mary Janes/low-mid heeled sandals/etc that are either ortho, Athletic, or just super comfortable and also look good. Thank you so much!

Monica made a six seven joke?

This is so stupid and maybe I'm just dreaming but this show gets so silly sometimes so who knows. In S8 E16 she's talking to wade about what she wants in return for information and she says "six figures, maybe seven" while moving her arms up and down. I don't watch a lot of TV that is being aired practically in current times, do other shows reference brain rotting online references? Lol

Criminal minds has lost its eeriness and the power of tension

What always drew me for CM when there were always 25 cop shows at any given moment being aired, is that they seemed to turn it a little darker. I think of episodes like uncanny valley (the dolls), heathridge manor, north mammon, Mosley lane, pig farm, the one with the puppets, the chilli one... I mean I could go on and on. They were not just about kills, they were creepy and heavy and had so much story for one single episode.

What made me realize the difference was how the show handled having another cult. I got excited when I saw this plot because the cult eps were some of my favorite and they were SO tense. And this one was not? At all? It felt so underwhelming. Everything feels more rush or like they rely more on action

I think partially CM Evolution just looks too good. The camera difference has been discussed to death here. And maybe I feel this more because I'm a horror fan so the eps with weird plots were my favorite and it felt like CM filled that gap that I couldn't fill with other police shows and now, even when the killers are still awful it doesn't hit the same

Choco coconut cookies from leftover cream cheese coconut buttercream!

I'm so happy at how these turned out! They were supposed to just be a way to not throw away buttercream I had used to frost a cake but they came out delicious!

I just threw an egg and flour and baking soda until it felt like the right texture ahahah glad I turned potential food waste into something that tastes good and I can gift other people :)

Could I turn Buttercream into cookies?

Have a lot of cream cheese buttercream leftover from my birthday cake and thought (maybe stupidly) that if I got the proportions right by adding flour and egg I could make cookie batter? The buttercream has butter, cream cheese, sugar, and coconut shreds. I could just make a simple cake and frost it but cookies would be easier to share throughout different people which is my goal because I have enough sweets on me right now ahahah. Any opinions are greatly appreciated!

Cake batter without yolks and with sour cream?

Trying to follow a coconut and dulce de leche cake recipe but I'm not American and I always have some difficulties (I've only recently gotten over the amount of butter in buttercream). The batter recipe is as follows:

2 and ½ cups cake flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

¾ cup unsalted butter room temperature

1 and ⅔ cups granulated sugar

5 large egg whites at room temperature

½ cup sour cream

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

2 tablespoons of coconut oil

1 cup canned coconut milk

1 cup sweetened shredded coconut

I've never done a cake without yolks, and I've also never put sour cream in batter. Won't the yolks make a difference? Additionally, can I replace the sour cream with buttermilk? (Lemon juice and milk) Or plain yogurt?

Would face serums be able to serve some use for body problem areas? I've minimised my facial routine by a lot and I have a TO 10% niacinamide and zincserum and was wondering if it could do something useful for bumps and pimples :)

Hi! I've been having these extreme dry patches around my nose and mouth for the last few weeks. It's bad to the point where I have to moisturize it with heavy creams throughout the day otherwise my skin starts flaking bad in a matter of hours. I've been on Accutane since January and this just appeared now.

I tried my best to take a clear picture but I don't think my android camera catches it, but the dryness is surrounding these tiny red dots that don't seem like acne I've ever had? They're around my nose and mouth, don't have any pus and they don't grow. So now I don't really know if it could potentially be PD, since if it's an Accutane side effect I should moisturize a lot but if it's PD the internet says to stop using anything? Was looking for some opinions while I can't go to the derm. TIA!
