Image 1 — What next? I’m not sure how to proceed. I invested some amount a year or two ago and haven’t done anything since. Since these are big tech companies, I feel I should hold on to them long term. But then I don’t know “how to make money work” as they call it. How can I keep making frequent profits?

Product Reviews and Ratings not shown the NZ website anymore : I think this is in preparation for their new plated jewellery roll out.

The Pandora NZ website no longer shows product reviews. I have to visit the US website to see the rating and user reviews. Not great for transparency. I wonder if it is in preparation for anticipated criticism for their new plated jewellery. But well, I can only guess 🤷‍♀️

My thumb nail keeps splitting at the same place since a few years now. Irrespective of how long/short they are. I tried applying a coat of nail hardener. Sometimes the crack goes away after the nail grows but it reappears again unexpectedly. It keeps snagging against fabrics and wants to pull apart

Please help. I don’t know what I can do. I don’t apply any harsh chemicals on myself, I don’t even use nail polish 95% of the time. But I’m now frustrated with this recurrence and would like to understand this better.

Thank you.

Hi 👋 Has anyone tried the warming mug or the mug warmer (pic 2). Are these good? Thank you 🙂

How do you keep your head warm at night in winters without sweating? My beanie makes my scalp greasy, but I don’t want to need a hair wash everyday. Any tips appreciated.

I’m wondering if it’s the material of the beanie. Also, sorry I didn’t specify it clearly in the post title - I meant at night to wear in bed while sleeping. 😴

AliExpress charms - Has anyone tested them for heavy metals - lead/cadmium etc? I was wondering if Bamoer charms are free from heavy metals as they claim to be.

Please advice - I want to make a travel channel but I am worried about using my voice and my face in the videos in this age of AI. I am so conflicted about it.

Do you have these concerns too and how are you approaching it? I am worried about the misuse of my likeness for the wrong purposes.

The Bus Hub area is so scary, even with the security & police station around. It feels unsafe; it was very quiet this evening around 7:45/8pm and the few people around looked scary to me.

Edit :

I’m sorry if this post has offended fellow Dunedin residents. It wasn’t my intention, Dunedin is the safest place I’ve lived in.

My home country is scary and we are taught to avoid certain places at certain times since they are unsafe, but Dunedin hasn’t been like that at all. This incident was an exception and therefore I posted here.

I don’t mean to call Dunedin unsafe. Apologies if my post came across wrong.

Why don’t they make the area safer? 😣
A random man (in his 40s) approached us (2girls - immigrants) near the convenience store beside LookSharp to ask us the time. He then asked until what time do the buses run? Do they run until 10pm? We said we weren’t very sure, I told him I’ve seen buses go around until 8:30 but I’m not entirely sure if they ran late. This was my honest response. He then seemed very hostile and angry, made a weird remark like “too scared of a Mormon, are you?” and then walked into the convenience store. I don’t understand the context of this being an immigrant, but the hostility seemed very scary. There were some other scary people around, but they didn’t bother us. We walked fast into the Woolworths store since that seemed safe.

Hello Dunedin! Looking to join a gym/pilates/yoga class to keep myself active during winter. Looking for suggestions. I don’t want to spend more than $100 per month, I’d probably go for the most reasonable option.

I am located in Anderson Bay.

As an experienced Software Developer (15+ years), what skills would I take to the table to my future job application in the age of AI. What would job opportunities and applications look like in 3-5years? What skillset should one aim to develop to remain competent?

With AI abstracting implementation and even infrastructure development today, with new security/compliance skills & improvements coming up in AI. What would our next job application or interview look like in another 3-5years?

I understand AI isn't perfect, requires review etc etc, but it is much better than it was 1.5years ago. Tools keep upgrading, AI models and skills keep improving, the ways of working have changed quite a lot. I am worried about what my skillsets should be going forward.

Unpopular opinion - I like Pani Da Rang Female version by Sukanya Purkayastha. The entire composition is so different - for the lack of a better word. I also like the male version. Does anyone relate?

How do some artists use just 1 small cup of water for painting? Mine gets muddy/coloured quite soon, but I see some plein air artists carry a tiny bottle of water and paint. Is it because they use premium quality colours?

I find the highlighting experience better on Kindle than on the Kobo - Also, once you highlight an entire a sentence, I can still look up the meaning of a word in that sentence on Kindle, but on a Kobo, I have to remove the highlight, then look up the word and re-highlight. I wish Kobo fixes this.

I love my Kobo devices - Libra 2 and Clara BW. My Kindle is 7 years old now, but I sometimes feel that Kindle has better user experience as far as highlighting is concerned. I wish Kobo allowed for word lookup within a highlight.

Bracelet prices have increased here in NZ over the last week. (Eg. Some of the bracelets that were $149 are now $169) Have they increased in your country as well over the last week or so?

Is it too big? I intend to wear it without charms, I’m worried it will stretch even more. This is size 18, I’m usually a size 17 (with charms). I’m unsure if I should keep this size or get a smaller one. The smaller size doesn’t flow on the arm as freely.

Although the bangles fit me similar to the larger size (18).
