Steamed clams? Anywhere?

We recently bought a condo in Surfside beach and have been to many great spots to eat but I cannot find steamed clams! Is it a time of year thing or just not popular down here? Any recommendations?

Just found out there is a straight love triangle in this show and that it's like the main romance (havent watched yet)

I can't watch until my girlfriend gets back from a trip but I couldn't help myself and spent like an hour watching random ramona and oona clips on instagram. Literally was watching like cast interviews totally oblivious. Then finally googled the show and was like omg this isn't even the main plotline 😂 and they aren't even the main characters. I was in a little gay algorithm driven bubble. I thought annie was just like ramona's supportive sister who was a side character and the show was basically a gay love story 😭 And the whole grandpa's island mystery thing--totally unaware. I'm cracking the hell up.

Can't wait to watch and learn what the actual plot is lol

Family history?

Anyone else have a family history of either R-CPD or esophageal issues in general? I told my doctor that my mother also couldn't burp for most of her life but started being able to in her late 50s and she thought that was interesting. I know R-CPD research is relatively new so not sure if they have studied it yet, but does anyone else have a parent who can't burp? Grandparents?

Philly provider recommendation

I was recommended Dr. Tibbetts with Jefferson Health in Philly by someone on this sub and I'm so glad they did! It is rare to have a niche disorder that your practitioner is an expert in. She even gave me the history of the research on R-CPD because I was curious. Great bedside manner and demeanor, and she's very knowledgeable. She even knew about the subreddit! I am very excited to schedule my botox appointment.

6 years after repair, still have a hard lump under my scar.

It is hard, like bone hard. Round, about the diameter of a dime. It hurts a bit when I kneel. Has anyone has this issue this long? My mom said she had the same but it was a cyst that eventually popped only a year or two in.

Anyone had any success treating auditory processing issues?

A simple google search is not giving me much information unfortunately. I've been struggling with auditory processing issues forever, even went to the audiologist several times to have my hearing checked before and after being diagnosed. My hearing is fine, of course, just delayed processing. If you have any experience with seeking treatment, please share! Thanks.

Anyone know of any local arts-related nonprofits that are hiring?

My partner who is job hunting has a background in painting so ideally visual art rather than like music. Thanks!

Don't assume every femme woman in a lesbian bar is straight!

Recently I went out with a group of my (well majority bi and lesbian) female friends to Val's for my birthday. I have been out as a lesbian for over a decade. Most of us dressed femme for the occasion. I want to emphasize, like 3/12 of my friends that came were straight allies.

For some reason our fellow patrons thought we were a straight bachelorette party?? Like, I get it, bachelorette parties can be a scourge on gay bars, but frankly they have no interest in going to lesbian bars. One person directly asked two of my friends, who are a LESBIAN COUPLE, if they were straight. It was ridiculous. Several people verbalized their assumption that we were a group of straight girls.

It didn't ruin my night or anything, but I want to give out a PSA. You don't have to look gay to be gay. Try to leave your assumptions at the door. Think critically. Femme women are of course privileged in being "straight passing," but they still deserve a place in our bars. I caught myself thinking I should have dressed in my typically more masculine style and then had to be like actually no, this isn't on me.

Sorry for the rant, thank you for listening! Also, Val's is a blast and they make great drinks. Try the Butch Bait (available at the downstairs bar).

Sleeping at my folks place and my dad fell asleep with "we are the world" on repeat

The bedrooms are right next to each other. I can't find his phone. Every time I start to drift off I hear michael jackson in the distance like a gently approaching nightmare. I am in Hell.
