Narwal Flow Plumbed Version

I have used Roombas since 2002. I never counted how many we went through, but it was a lot.

I upgraded to a Roborock mopping robot and thought I had found nirvana, until I saw the plumbed version of the Narwal.

The Narwal, with its plumbing feature, is top luxury. The Roborock constantly needed to be cleaned of hair and refilled/emptied. The Narwal never has these issues.

Its navigation is second to none, it's extremely quiet, and it cleans itself much better than any other robotic vacuum.

It wasn't very difficult to install (I used the plumbing from our clothes washer). I only check on it about once a month.

I think Narwal has hit peak design with this one. I have stopped eyeballing other machines, because I really don't think about it anymore. For a few hours a day, it shuffles around the house and then returns to its cave to sleep and wash.

If you have the resources, I'd highly recommend it.

My top two suggestions I always seem to make on this sub.....

I have been with Bedjet since the OG Kickstarter. I have given them to friends and family over the years.

Here are my top two suggestions:

  1. Use Bedjet to dry out your mattress in the morning.

Most people lose 0.5–1 liter (1–2+ pounds), sometimes up to a full liter or more, every night in hot/dry conditions.

Program M1 to run full blast at room temperature and start it when you finish making the bed in the morning. My Egyptian cotton sheets always seem more "hotel fresh crisp" when I run this every day. It will keep the mattress dry and help with its overall longevity.

  1. I run Bedjet at 5% flow, usually at 72-74, all night long.

My comfort comes from lowering the humidity while sleeping. If there is too much airflow, I tend to dry out and I have bad sleep, but at a 5% wisper, the humidity stays low and I'm in total comfort. I'm seeing many new users pushing air at 50% and higher, and I'm not sure why.

I program M2 to "Summer" - 5% flow, 72 degrees, and M3 to "Winter" 5% flow, 75 degrees.

We use a regular comforter and a flat sheet (no special air sheets or special setup).

Not sure if this is helpful, but I wanted to throw it out there. 😄
