Receiver repair

Hi all, I bought this Sony STR-K840P receiver from a garage sale, and only the center speaker channel seems to work on it. The subwoofer also works. The other speaker channels are audible only when on full volume, and even then they are super quiet. I have tried factory resetting it and trying different speakers but it stays the same.

I opened it up and inspected it for any broken traces, cracked solder joints or anything else that could be causing a problem, but other than a layer of dust (which I cleaned off) I didn’t see anything.

I have tried it with my stereo cassette deck, as well as my Sony KV-36FS100 (has stereo output) but the results are the same.

What can I do to fix it?

What is this port on this CRT?

The tv is a MGA (Mitsubishi) BS-135, and this is the only input I see in the pictures. I don’t even see any antenna or Rf inputs. Can anyone tell me about this tv?

Restoration question

Hello all, so my dad has this capcom bowling cabinet which was originally a 1980 pac man machine. I think it would be really cool to restore it to its old pac man days and he seems he wants to sell it. but would it be worth it to buy it from him to restore? I know it would need the marquee, decals, t molding, etc but what electronics would be needed? What would be needed to convert it back?

Quasar VH200 VCR Repair help

Hi all, I found this VCR in the trash, and after soldering on a new power cable (the old one was cut off) it powers on. However, when powering it on, it shuts off after a few seconds. The buttons register and show up on the screen, but don’t actually make anything do anything. Like for example when I press eject, it shows up on the screen but the tape, which was in there when I found it, won’t come out. Anyone know how to resolve this?

Also sorry Reddit won’t let me post videos AND pictures

NES picture

So I’m putting this nes back together and it is displaying a bad picture. The game is clean, I cleaned the 72 pin, the connection point for it on the motherboard, and even tried using different video cables. What is causing this?

Help finding 36” CRTs in the Cleveland area

Hello all , I have been trying to find a flatscreen 36 inch Toshiba or Sony trinitron WITH its matching base/stand for a while now, but to no avail. The closest I have come to finding one is one where I got no response from the seller after 2 weeks, even though I reached out several times. Does anyone have a tv that I would be looking for in the Cleveland area? Attached are the type/ style I am looking for

Help

Hello all, so I have been restoring some NES consoles and some of the parts I have been retrobriting have not been reversed quite all the way, as seen below. Is there any way I can fix this?

I currently have a large very bright grow light, and my container has 12 percent peroxide with a little bit of water cause I don’t have enough peroxide, and I have a heating pad underneath the tub which I heard would help with the process.

Also is there any way to keep the red text from fading from the door when retrobriting?

2001 Kyo Sohma Statue

Hello all, I know nothing about this show but I was recently given this statue of the character “ Kyo Sohma” and the bottom says it’s limited edition and it’s 370/500. It is from 2001. I could only find values of similar statues marked 1/2000. How much is this one worth?

Nintendo 64 no video

Hello all , I took apart my n64 (which was previously functioning fine) to clean it up to sell it and I put it back together and it just doesn’t have video or sound. The only thing it does (since I’m playing on a crt) is flash a small burst of light on the screen along with an electronic pop sound. The light on the console however still functions. It does this whether or not there’s a game inserted.

How can this be fixed? I tried cleaning the jumper pak again, and I already cleaned all the games. So what could be wrong ?
