34F NYC - looking for something serious
Hey there!
I’m 34, and I’m at a point in my life where I’m not really interested in surface-level connections anymore. I’d love to meet someone where there’s genuine curiosity about each other.
I’m not looking to rush into anything or force a label. I’d rather start with a real connection and see where it naturally goes. If there’s chemistry and we both feel it, I’m open to something serious and meaningful.
I’m looking for someone who actually wants to get to know another person -not someone who disappears after a few days because the initial excitement wears off.
I’m based in NYC, but I’m open to connecting with people elsewhere too. Distance doesn’t necessarily bother me if the connection is there.
If you’re also looking for something genuine-whether that eventually becomes a close friendship, a romantic relationship, or simply a meaningful connection-feel free to say hello. Tell me something about yourself rather than just sending “hey.” I’d genuinely like to know the person behind the message.
Any other introverted lesbians here?
How do you actually meet women?
I’m fine once I know someone, but making the first move is a whole different story. I can’t imagine walking into a bar by myself and just… talking to strangers. It feels so awkward.
I literally live next to lesbian bar in Brooklyn, and I still can’t work up the courage to go in by myself.
Why does genuine connection feel so rare?
I’m 34 and sometimes I wonder if I’m asking for too much. I don’t want a perfect person, I just want someone I can love deeply and who chooses me back.
It feels strange that something so simple can be so hard to find. I’m curious if others feel the same, especially those who have struggled to find a real connection later in life.
How do you keep believing it will happen?
Do you ever regret shutting someone out because of CPTSD?
Have you ever pushed someone away because of your trauma responses, then regretted it later?
missed connection-4th ave/9th st

why silence and mixed signals can feel more intense than a clear rejection, and how someone can work through that without becoming stuck on the person who pulled away?
rejection
Im curious about this from a Jungian perspective:
why silence and mixed signals can feel more intense than a clear rejection, and how someone can work through that without becoming stuck on the person who pulled away?
