has anyone cared for a birds of paradise in islamabad weather

I want to buy it but it sounds like a hard plant to take care of in our climate, and it costs like 4k. has anyone had success with it and did it flower?

help me save this jasmine vine

got it last year, it bloomed once but its been very sad all year. yellow green leaves and new growth, the soil has started staying wet longer so i tried aerating it and put it in indirect light but it seems even sadder.

how do you study at home

ive been at home trying to study for over a year but i cant. as soon as i get up its either 5 am and the cats need food or 12 pm and the maids here. and everything is in chaos. chores need doing. your sister/mother/brother need you to do something. then its suddenyl 10 pm at night and the days gone. and then this goes on for more than a year. and you face blows during the year because you couldnt study in such a non productive environment. how do you make the environmen productive for you? there are no libraries or cafes nearby i can walk to, and i dont have a license for the farther ones.

just came back from the vet, 400,000 wbcs alongwith a 107 fever

gave him my two sick 6 month old kitties, they were sick a week ago, fever, lethargy, they got treated for it, they were lethargic and drooling again, same symptoms as before, when he did the cbc even he was surprised he had to repeat it again.

low platelets, crazy high wbcs and two kittens, who have a high fever.

is this a bad prognosis? i dont have a job and my mothe/sister will be paying for them which already makes me feel like shit but thinking they wont even make it is making me circle the drain. gemini is telling me some crazy diagnosis and its not helping.

anyone who found discipline in a lonely cluttered space

I moved back home a year ago from college and I've let myself go alot. For context, we are a single parent household (one parent is abroad, another sibling who was a firecracker moved away as well) with no social or workplace ties nearby. I'm studying at home for the next thing but its akin to studying in an isolation prison.

I used to be a dedicated and disciplined person in college because I was surrounded by high achievers who were the same. Everyone at home is either sleeping or binge watching, noone cares about the clutter or healthy food or takes any initiative in making a life here. I have recently started going out to walk even if its 3000 steps to get a better perspective and pushing others at home to do so too. We live in a very nice neighborhood where you can always see someone jogging or walking their dogs, its a bit farther from the main city and there isnt much to do nearby but I know even if there were it would be the same. It feels like an uphill battle trying to not feel sad and unmotivated when everyone around you is this way. I am the eldest now so I want to make a better environment for my younger siblings as well.

I was listening to Atomic Habits and its really helping me work through this, he isnt saying anything that is new or foreign, but it feels like a coach quietly helping you through your life. I have to drop CVs, learn driving, call a help centre, and I've literally been putting it off forever. There is no social stimulus to force me to do better, I want to be more self driven.

For people who got fit or did something remarkable by being disciplined in a cluttered, lazy, no social life place in their life, how did you get out of the slump? Does it get better?

what specialty did you choose and why?

i was fascinated by surgery but I loved Medicine in hj so I opted for it. This journey is teaching me loving a field is not the same as having the acumen for it. Would love to hear other people's pov. The money and scope answer is hearsay imo.
