I feel like sometimes when shows go on too long, the writers run out of material so they kind of grasp at straws or they change the characters personality.

Any suggestions for shows in which the characters remain consistent and the storylines remain good? And has a satisfying ending?

Examples: The Americans, Breaking Bad, Sopranos

Preferably told from the perspective of the “bad guy.”

Hi guys! Does anyone have any show recommendations for shows that are similar to Gravity Falls but intended for a more adult audience? For example, the same type of mystery and cryptid-investigating but the subject themes aren’t scared to go darker (in terms of possible sex and violence and overall themes).

Maybe like Twin Peaks? Possibly? Haven’t watched it yet but have been meaning to- it seems very mysterious and woodsy. Or like X files but ideally more concurrent storylines and multi-episode plots rather than a “monster of the week”.

Humiliating moments always replay and replay and replay in my head.

The most recent one: I was on a road trip with some of my family a few days ago. I was sitting in the front seat with my brother in law behind me. I kept farting 😭. Literally 30 or 40 times.

I always have had really bad anxiety-induced gastrointestinal issues. So I’ve farted a bunch around him before because I’m so anxious or nervous.

I think in the car I saw him fiddling with the AC (in the back) to lessen the smell.

I’m just so humiliated. Then when we stopped, I farted and then right at that moment, THEY (my sister and brother in law) WALKED TOWARDS ME! Into my space. So I feel like he absolutely knew it was me.

I’m just so embarrassed idk. I always fart when I’m nervous and since I have social anxiety, I’m always nervous during extended family settings.

I literally keep replaying the fact that he (and my siblings) probably think I’m a smelly person who always farts.

I know this sounds like a troll post but I swear it’s not. I’m so so so embarrassed by it, and I feel like the whole car knew I kept farting.

I think when I stepped away for a minute, I heard him say to my sister “it smells so bad” but I could have been embarrassed and imagining things.

So, yeah. I feel completely humiliated.

DAE have chronic anxiety farts? I’m so embarrassed I could cry honestly. The car ride was hours. I can’t stop thinking about it.

This unfortunately is just one of many embarrassing fart stories because of my anxiety.

I’m so so so embarrassed 😭 I feel like he will never forget this and always think of my as his smelly in law.

For example, this can be seen with a character in Something Bad is Going to Happen. A red herring type of character in which someone seems odd, off putting, and uneasy actually ends up helping the protagonist and is maybe also strange because of the big bad they have to fight.
