Note to Self is so far the best, but if I say "remind at 5:30 tomorrow morning to go to work early" it will set a reminder for 17:00 "thirty tomorrow morning to go to work early"
brain dump seems like its more sophisticated but EVERYTHING is logged as a note
notes to self just makes a note with whatever I said, including the time (really?)
yes I know the grips are cursed af I am working on that :3
I swear to god every day I see a post thats like "I showered with my Pebble and now its broken" or "I swam in a ocean/lake and now its dead" or "I bashed it agaist a metal pole for 12 hours straight and the screen cracked".
Can you people not read? Do you really want the first thing a newcomer sees to be "water kills it and the the screen is made of the same material that Dodge used in the 2nd gen Ram"?
Directly from Wikipedia:
'Water Resistant 3 atm or 30 m'
'Suitable for everyday use. Splash/rain resistant.'
'Not suitable for showering, bathing, swimming, snorkeling, water related work, fishing, and diving.'
did you get that? NOT SUITABLE FOR SHOWERING OR SWIMMING. not to mention saltwater demolishing any kind of rubber seal in the first place.
As for the screen, yes it is a poor design, and honestly I am kind of disappointed with that oversight. However, it really isn't as bad as everyone is screaming about it being. I work as a mechanic, digging around in engine bays and occasionally (at least once a day) it catches on something. It hasn't broken yet because I am able to dedicate 6 brain cells to being aware of my surroundings and be careful with the 230$ watch on my wrist. Is it a G-Shock? NO. Did I buy a G-Shock? Also no. I bought a steel/plastic smartwatch with a basic tempered glass screen.
TL:DR stop complaining that your watch can't do things it explicitly tells you it cannot do

for context I'm in the Sacramento area, high and low today is 101, 62
the local bike co-op (obviously) didn't have leather replacements, so I called a tack shop nearby and they said they had cheap sets of leather reins that nobody is gonna miss, looks great on the bike. they are a bit snug but it's leather, I expect it to get a little more malleable and possibly stretch just a tad over time.
I do plan to make another set with the original buckles because they are much more compact than the funky wraparound hook design reins use, but I need to figure out how to rivet leather for that, this was kind of a proof of concept.
Replaced the transmission, reused the old t case. Shifts fine into 2hi, auto, 4hi, but shifting into 4lo causes the 4lo light to flash for a bit, then the display that shows the 4wd mode shuts off and the 4wd light turns on.
its annoying, ugly, and unintuitive
he left because of personal issues, is across the country, left two busted up bikes, there is no hope of me getting in contact with him.
do I run it? soak in vinegar again now that I have all the parts I need? (I had to let it sit because I discovered my petcock was hopelessly clogged and the ball valve was broken)
shifts great, seems to be pretty much stock except for the bars which are still tasteful
what is safe to clean it? worried the paint is getting old
