Tell me again how gun laws prevent felons from acquiring firearms.

That is sooommmeee collection. I'll give him that.

Ghost guns are apparently walking through walls and straight into prohibited persons' hands.

Gather 'round boys and girls. It's time for your Firearm Classifications lesson. Brought to you by the ATF.

Clearing this up, hopefully.

I've seen comments from people concerned that without NFA/stamp regulations in place, Colorado law prohibiting the purchase of NFA items without ATF approval and the necessary stamps, is now in full force.

No.

Suppressors, SBRs and SBSs are not illegal to purchase now under Colorado law with the recent developments regarding Silencer Shop Foundation v. ATF / Jensen v. ATF case. The Northern District of Texas ruling does not entirely invalidate the NFA. This ruling applies only to the plaintiffs and the plaintiffs' customers and members. Even if you think that includes you, being in Colorado... It doesn't. The NFA still applies to everyone else and it will take a ruling by SCOTUS and/or a full repeal of the NFA by Congress for anything to change here in Colorado.

That said, if you've been putting off buying or converting any firearms to an SBR or SBS, or buying a suppressor, it's better to do it now versus waiting even longer for more developments concerning the status of the NFA of 1934. There are currently no laws on the books in Colorado to further restrict NFA items just because some plaintiffs won their case but current Colorado law prohibits the purchase of these items without the proper stamps and paperwork with the ATF. When/if the NFA gets repealed nationally, you better believe Colorado gun grabbers will not play nice.

Stay frosty. Stay legal. Fight it in the courts and with your votes.

Corrections and clarifications are always welcome. Just don't be rude about it. Thanks to u/curiousnerd44 for adding additional details regarding specific language about the law.

What do I add to get this thing to fly?

Only one isn't a functional button. But I might make it a reality. Shouldn't be too difficult. 😂

(we're just having some fun over here)

aim UP dual sights

Put a PCC together and managed to get this setup to work. The MBUS Pro and Leap mount are not touching. RMR for shorter range, quick target acquisition with a slightly more heads-up stance. Irons for longer range and BUIS with a more standard head position and tighter cheek weld. I replaced the factory sight post with one about half as wide so the irons are slightly more accurate at 100 yards than the dot. Nice to have irons always available without obscuring the dot or having to cant the gun. I cut down the gooseneck to make some room for the iron on the very short handguard and renotched for the Leap.

(the gun was empty for the first picture. Double and triple checked the chamber, no magazine inserted, bolt open, safety on.)

Edit: I can't believe I have to add this but since a dingdong mentioned it in the comments... The gun is NOT pointed at me. The muzzle is pointed in the air about a foot in front of me. My left arm is extended in front of me and pointing the phone camera at the gun. If there were to be a magical bullet that jumps in the gun and goes off, I'd be kinda sad that my phone got destroyed. Hope that helps. You know who you are.

I mounted a camera to the pump action bar and I wanted to get some footage for all you heathens but BLM shut down the national forest for shooting so here's some test footage. If you don't have a gun that makes you giggle, what are you even doing in life?

Loaded up on AR, AK and Pistol Frames... All serialized. But what about flats with this new law?

I've been wanting to go further in my gun assembly skills and I want to make a Spanish CETME or G36 and an MP5 or two but I don't have the time right now to build out, or the money to buy, serialized receiver flats that are pre bent and with barrels already pressed.

If I were to buy unfinished flats, would the new August restrictions be triggered at the time of purchase or when I took it into an FFL to serialize and background check?

I know, I know. It's all stupid but here we are.

Edit: I'll go try to ask my sheriff and I'll report back here.

Uncle hadn't shot in 40 years. We fixed that this weekend.

Somehow we're related. LoL.

I let him try my AR22 (pictured), MP5 mag AR9 (pictured), 300blk truck gun, VZ-61 Skorpion (pictured), and FM9 Foldyboi.

We didn't have a lot of time so I didn't rag him for his stance or anything. We just focused on safe firearm handling and sending led downrange.
