BOUGHT MY FIRST EVER GOLD COIN FROM MYNTRA BLINKDEAL8! 🥹

Purchased my first ever gold coin that too at a great price. 🥹 All thanks to this r/GoldSilverDealsIndia and the person behind it who notifies about all the amazing deals and offers. I was a noob and didn't know much about Gold and then started following this community and got to learn so much from it like cards and cashbacks and how to use scan and pay.. lol

Effective Price: 13k / gram for 24KT 999 purity
Card Used: Flipkart Axis CC

The craziest thing is Myntra's Blink deal. First I purchased a 2gms of Gold coin during blinkdeal6 but then got to know about blinkdeal8. It was a tough decision for me but I anyway went for 5gm Bhima Gold Coin on 31st July and cancelled the 2gm order.

Now seeing at the gold hike, I'm glad I made a decision. Also got my coin checked from Malabar as well! 999 purity. ✅

2 days of commuting, 115 km/day. Is this a valid reason for job change?

I'm a Marketing Specialist with 5 years of experience and have been with my current company for 1 year and 4 months (this is my 3rd company btw). We haven't received any clear updates regarding the appraisal process.

Also, the role was initially fully remote, but the company has now introduced a hybrid work arrangement, which requires me to travel around 115 km per day for two consecutive days each week.

I have an interview today for a fully remote role. Is it valid to mention the increased commute as one of the reasons for looking for a job change? Or please help me with smart answers.

UPDATE: So the interview happened and OBVIOUSLY they asked “THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED QUESTION”. And I said there are lay-offs going on in my very smol company🥲 (which is true btw). Then I slyly inserted that they have opened an office which is 60kms away. 🤦‍♀️ To which they asked why I’m only looking for remote jobs, I said not remote, but at least feasible commute is what I’m looking for. Lets see what happens next. Thanks kind people of reddit for engaging! 🫶

Is something fishy with Myntra’s blink deal?

This blink deal is live since 2 pm today. Usually it ends within an hour or so and the product sometimes shows out of stock. But today, it’s 10pm now, and the deal is still going on. Is this a glitch? Or the gold crashing rumours are true?

Should I proceed with this 5gm gold coin with this deal or should I wait for the crash?

Is it a good idea to stack gold coins to make jewellery later?

I'm planning to buy some gold coins every month so by the time I get married (maybe in a year or two) I will have something to help in making jewellery. Is it advisable to get 22k gold coins or 24k for making jewellery later?

What reason to give to reject a company which has a strange hiring manager?

So this company has reached me out again and which put my candidature on hold six months back, no-specific reason was given, when I asked they just said that we are not hiring anymore for this position, and we have kept this position on hold. This isn't a huge company but I really liked their work and culture so I wanted to join this since last 2-3 years. Luckily, one day they called me, and I happened to clear all the interview rounds one by one. The final round was with the VP of HR, but after that, they informed me that the position had been put on hold.

Then one day the hiring manager which took one of the rounds reached me out on Linkedin and asked that why I didn't join, I told him that the HR informed the position is on-hold. And then he took the initiative to ask the HR and I got to know that the HR "assumed" that I am offer shopping. I had given a clear reason that layoffs are going on in my current company that's why I am looking for better opportunities.

After that, he started going the extra mile to help me, which felt very strange. You can read the story here, I’ve already explained his behavior, what he did, and how he made me feel very uncomfortable. I don't know what his intentions were or whether he genuinely wanted to help, but I was certain that I didn't want that kind of help from anyone. Since I was going to directly report to him, it felt very intimidating to work with someone like that, especially after accepting a few favors from him.

So today, I got a call from that HR again. They told me that they had reopened the position and asked if I would still be interested in joining. I told them that the last time, I never received a solid reason for why my candidature was rejected. They explained that they "assumed" I were "shopping around" for offers. This time, however, they said they were considering me again because my name was at the top of their list.

I don't know why, but I feel that the same hiring manager reopened the position and probably recommended my name. That's just my assumption. Even so, the thought of working under him still feels very scary. After everything that happened before, I don't think I would be comfortable reporting to him.

At the same time, I really want to switch from my current job. We still haven't received any updates about appraisals. The company hasn't shared when they'll happen, why they're delayed, or what the timeline looks like. It's becoming very frustrating. I joined my current company on a relatively low salary, and I have some personal financial goals for which I need to save more. That's another reason why I want to switch.

One thing I genuinely liked about this opportunity is that it's a hybrid role, which I'm already used to. The office is also convenient to commute to, so it seemed like a good fit in terms of work-life balance. The job market is also quite tough right now. I've been applying to many jobs but haven't been getting calls. This is actually the only company that has reached out to me twice on its own, I didn't even apply for this opening. So it feels like a good opportunity.

But because of that hiring manager, I don't think I'll be able to join this company, a company I had wanted to work for so long and an opportunity that has now come to my doorstep so unexpectedly!! I've already made up my mind about it.

Please suggest some professional reasons for declining the offer this time. The hiring manager is still with the company, but I don't want to leave on a negative note or be in the company's bad books for future.

TLDR: I interviewed with a company I had wanted to join for years, but they put my candidature on hold without a clear reason. Now they've reopened the role and reached out again, but the hiring manager's behavior previously made me so uncomfortable that I don't think I can work under him. Even though it's a great opportunity in a tough job market, I'm leaning toward declining it and would appreciate some good professional reasons to decline the offer.
