WHY AM I GIGGLING AND KICKING MY FEET😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

ohhhhh my godddddd😭😭😭

so there's this guy on my dad's side of the family, not a relative but very distantly related (we even have different surnames so yeaaa)

every time i'd see him at a family function, i'd be like OH MY GOD HE'S SOOO EFFING HOT 😭😭 he looks EXACTLY how i want my guy to look, like actually EXACTLY. and i'd spend the next 2-3 hours yearning over him having 100 different thoughts in my head like should i go talk to him or will i look despo 😭😭😭 and then i'd go home and regret over the fact that i didn't talk to him. YOU GUYS I WANTED TO TALK TO HIM SO BADLY 😭😭😭

so yesterday i saw him again at another family function, when we sat down to eat there was no space for him so he was looking around and THEN HE CAME AND SAT BESIDE ME

AHHHHH AND HE STARTED TALKING TO ME SAMNE SE 😭😭😭😭😭

i was acting all chill and nonchalant on the outside but internally i was literally JUMPING. I WAS SO FUCKING HAPPY YOU GUYS 😭😭😭

and then when we were leaving, HE ASKED FOR MY INSTAGRAM. and later that night, he liked all my highlights. ALL OF EM and also sent me a reel.

BUT WHEN I WOKE UP THIS MORNING, HE HAD UNLIKED EVERYTHING????? the f*ck?????????

how do founders vet remote hires?

Hey everyone

I'm building a tool to help small teams run consistent verification checks before onboarding remote hires. If you've hired remotely before, I'd love to know how you currently vet candidates and what your biggest pain points are.

Happy to share what I find too.

whats the most annoying part in export documentation?

working on understanding the pain points in export documentation like invoices, COO etc for a project.

for those who handle these regularly, what's the most annoying or error prone part of the process??

it would be a great help if you're open to share real examples.

DRUNK TEXTED MY SHITTY EX. NOW F*CK ME

So last night, my cousins were at my place and we were havin a sleepover. I don't usually drink but I had a little with them, and i get intoxicated very easily. So yeah I was a bit drunk, and we were playin Truth and dare.

They dared me to text my ex and say "I miss you," but I absolutely hate that piece of shit of an ex. It's been more than 10 months since I've talked to him, and I have no desire to. He has tried reaching out several times, but I always blocked him and moved on. I genuinely do not want to talk to him.

But because I was drunk, I didn't think things through and texted him, not "i miss you" just askin about something random. The conversation was completely normal.

The thing is that, I kept refusing the dare at first, and my cousin's started sayin if I wouldn’t do it, they would.

I wasn't giving them my phone, but my mother's phone was lying there. They searched his Instagram and I didn't even realize they had watched his stories from my mother's account.

I just woke up and now I am shitting my pants rn😭😭😭

He has a girlfriend now, and I'm so embarrassed. I genuinely want the earth to swallow me whole.

It wasn't "I miss you" message, but I still texted him about some stupid thing, and obviously he's going to see right through it.

And now, with the story views from my mother's account too, he's probably going to think I've been stalking him or something.

Ohhhhh God. I feel so stupid. I genuinely don't know how I'm supposed to continue existing on this planet after this.

What should i do now??😭😭😭😭

THIS F*CKER WAS OUTSIDE MY HOUSE AT 3 A.M. WHILE DATING ANOTHER GIRL

Pata hai aaj kya hua So I've been dating this guy for three years and he cheated on me twice. But I was so naive that we patched up every time and all that shit. He even got my birth date tattooed and stuff like that. Andhe was my first boyfriend so obviously I forgave him. FUCK ME

The last time we fought it wasn't even about cheating. There was this girl he was talking to and I had doubts about her. So I confronted him and he was like, "Oh she's just a friend. If you want me to block her, I'll block her ASAP." He kept saying she's into him and all that shit. And I was like, nah, I don't believe you.

Then we fought and guess what? FUCKER never even blocked her.

We broke up after that. And then this guy tried SO many times to get back with me. Like genuinely a hundred times. He used to call me nonstop, do all kinds of crazy shit to get me to forgive him. He used to come outside my house at 3 a.m. and literally beg. He'd call me from different numbers after I'd blocked him.

But I was so over it by then that I never forgave him.

The last screenshot is literally the last time we talked and that's from February.

And today I found out that he's been dating the SAME girl we fought about. They've been together for like four months now.

Which basically means this guy was begging me, calling me, making reels for me, posting my face on Instagram and doing all this lovey-dovey bullshit while he was already dating her.

Like what the actual fuck?

And before anyone says I'm jealous or hurt or whatever, I'm not. I haven't talked to him in months and I don't even want to talk to him. But I have SO much rage inside me right now.

How can someone be this fucking shameless?

And that girl? I'm pretty sure she cheated on her boyfriend too. When me and him were together, she'd call him in the middle of the night asking him to bring beer cans and all that shit. And she already had a boyfriend at the time. So yeah, do the math.

I just don't get it. I genuinely don't.

I don't miss him. I don't want him back. But I have this insane urge to confront him

Because apparently while all that was happening, you were already busy dating the exact same girl you kept telling me not to worry about.

AND BEFORE ANYONE COMES AT ME ABOUT HIS HORRIBLE TYPING STYLE OR WHATEVER, TRUST ME, I KNOW. I'M ALREADY EMBARRASSED ENOUGH LOOKING AT THOSE CHATS NOW, SO PLEASE DON'T EMBARRASS ME ANY FURTHER 😭

TL;DR: This fuc*er spent months crying, begging, calling from different numbers, showing up outside my house at 3 a.m., making reels for me, posting my pictures, and doing every bs thing possible to get me back. Today I found out he was already dating the exact same girl he told me not to worry about.

THE AUDACITY IS INSANE.

How can someone get their foot in the door at a early stage Fintech startup?

I'm still in undergrad and have been going down a rabbit hole latelyy especially around B2B fintech and embedded finance.

The thing is Im from a non tech background and I'm still figuring out where I'd fit in at a fintech startup.

I don't really see myself in sales or marketing. I'm much more interested in research, industry analysis, competitive analysis, making decks, writing memos, strategy, and generally helping solve business problems.

For people working in early stage fintech startups, what roles should I actually be looking at?

And how do you even get your foot in the door for these kinds of roles? Most of the advice I see is either for engineers or sales people.

Just trying to learn and figure out where I should focus my time and skill-building while I'm still in college.

I got this big opportunity that was really reallyy important for me. I prepared well and even practiced for the call interview.

But when the call actually happened, I got so effinggg nervous within the first 10 minutes of talking. I don’t know what took over me, but I became extremely anxious. Words weren’t even coming out of my mouth properly, and I completely froze. I didn’t know what to do.

In that moment, I abruptly ended the call😭😭😭😭

Now I feel sooooo ashamed and lost. I feel like I messed up something that could have been a very big for me, and I lost it in a very bad way.

I just want that the earth could swallow me whole. I don’t know what to do right now. I just had the panic attack

I F*CKING HATE MYSELF NOWWWW

I have been going down a rabbit hole trying to understand what seed stage startups especially actual need help with and GTM & ICP stuff keeps comin up everywhere.

I get the concept but i don't get the actual process like for GTM analysis do you just go through their funnel and write down?? and for ICP sharpening, do you juet stalk their customers and find patterns???????

I am still in my undergrad and want to start doing this for real founders, even free initially just to build the portfolio but i can't find anything that shows what real work looks like other than the theory.

Also for people who started doing this early

WHERE DID IT ACTUALLY LEAD?

IS THIS A REALISTIC PATH INTO STARTUPS STRATEGY AND BIZOPS?

And one more thing

would love if someone could point me to a specific niche or sector where early b2b SaaS founders actually need this kind of help the most rn. Trying to fig our where to focus first.

pata hai aaj kya hua

so today i went to my taujis ghar and he gave me his phone for torch. i was holding it and at that time he was getting so many notifications on whatsapp, and by mistake i opened a gc

and what i saw literally gave me chills

it was a group of some old uncs, like no exaggeration 100–150 people. and in that gc people were sending p*rn and then one man sent child p* so another man replied like at least don’t send child p* here, it got deleted. then another man said “mere personal chat pe bhej do bhai”

like what even??

they were literally discussing such filthy stuff. my tauji wasn’t in the conversation but still… just seeing that was so disturbing. and my god, i can’t believe there were literally nudes of teenage girls being talked about. i was so disgusted

i gave him the phone back but it stayed in my head. i even decided to take pictures of that chat later because i was like there’s no way this is normal

but after some time when i took his phone again, the chat was gone. maybe he deleted it or maybe he got some doubt or something

i’m still feeling so uncomfortable and disgusted thinking about it honestly.

I CAN'T GET THIS OUT OF MY HEAD. IT WAS HONESTLY SO DISTURBING

okay this might sound a bit messy but im stuck

im doing my undergrad from a tier 3 college, so there's no real guidance and im figuring thing out on my own but the more i read, the more i get confuse

i really wanna get into startups especially the growth/gtm side of it, but when u look at roles, Gtm feels very sales/marketing heavy, I dont think i wanna do that in long run and product/tech roles seems more strategy focused but they obv need an engineering background

so im confused

• is there a real path into growth strategy w/o heavy sales/marketing execution.

• what roles should i target

• what skills should i actually focus on?

would really appreciate honest advice from people in startups

this might not be the right sub for this but i’ve been trying to figure this out for weeks and keep going in circles

i’m currently doing my undergrad from a tier 3 college, so i don’t really have access to guidance internships through campus, or people around me who are in startups. i’m trying to figure things out on my own but the more i read, the more confusing it gets

i’m pretty sure i want to be in the startup space. the whole 0→1, fast learning, real ownership kind of environment really appeals to me. and i’m especially interested in the growth / GTM side.

but when i try to break this down into actual roles.i hit a wall

a lot of GTM seems very execution heavy on sales or marketing, which i don’t think i’m a great fit for. and most of the other “interesting” roles in startups seem to lean heavily towards product or tech which again isn’t my background

so i’m trying to be realistic here and not just chase a vague idea:

- is there actually a role in early-stage startups where you work on growth/strategy thinking without being deep into sales/marketing execution?

- how do people usually break into these kinds of roles without coming from top colleges or strong networks?

- what kind of entry-level roles should i even be targeting right now that would put me on that path?

- and what skills should i focus on building so i’m not just consuming content but actually moving somewhere?

would really appreciate honest inputs from people who’ve actually worked in startups especially what your first 1–2 roles looked like and how they shaped your path

i’ve been trying to understand the whole SaaS/startup space and it’s kinda overwhelming. every time i read something new i feel like i know less 😭

i’m interested in working in early stage SaaS startups, mostly on the GTM/growth/strategy side. not really aiming for big companies rn more like small teams

but yeah… i don’t have actual experience yet. still in undergrad, just learning on my own (reading about funnels, SaaS metrics, PLG, etc.)

so i wanted to ask:

  1. what skills actually matter when you’re starting from zero?

2.what do people in GTM/growth even do day-to-day in small teams?

3.how do you make yourself useful when you don’t really have experience yet?

4.what kind of startups should i even be targeting?

  1. and what roles make sense to go for at this stage?

basically just trying to figure out how people like me even get their foot in the door without wasting time.

any honest advice would help a lot
