How do we like monitor-projecting glasses?

I came across them in my quest to acquire the smallest possible gaming setup for hopping around hotel rooms. I suspect there is a catch to them, but I'd love for them to work for my FPS games.

Is there a way to test Atmos height audio definitely?

I'm not looking for movies that include Atmos (don't tell me to listen to Blade Runner lol) as this method doesn't work. I'm trying to find a program that dings each speaker so I know definitely that it is working. Does that exist?

Should I get a grill?

So I'm not a huge food cooker person, but I want something to make food outside. Grill seems like the obvious choice, but everyone seems to love these Traeger smokers, which... also grill...but not as good?

I like the idea of a smoker because I love brisket, but I can't eat a whole ass brisket by myself and I don't host parties, so I feel like most of it would be eaten non-fresh which is a waste of a $600 brisket (or however much they cost).

Should I get a grill, or are there smokers that exist which can do all the searing and whatnot a grill can do? I'd say burgers/hot dogs/steaks are my priority, but if I can get a device that does everything well, that seems worth it (if that exists).

Looking into bathroom speakers

I wanted a little speaker for my bathroom - something that has voice capabilities. The problem is that there is only one outlet and it isn't in a good spot. I'm renting and can't do major modifications.

So unless I think of something more creative, that just leaves the battery-powered speakers. If I were to put one in there, would charging it be a huge burden? Let's assume I play music a cumulative hour or two a day. Am I looking at needing to charge it every day, or once a week, or more or less?

New to having a house - Is this normal?

The *center* glass is filtered water from my fridge, *left* is water directly from my kitchen sink, *right* is from my kitchen sink after running it for a few mins (this is what the bathroom sinks look like also).

Is this:

a) normal, and I've just never noticed it?

b) a concern I should bring up to my landlord?

c) dangerous?

Can someone walk me thru how to split these rooms like this?

Support said "you can't do that," but I've heard rumors there is some way to block off the rooms and map, and then unblock later. I have a Flow 2, if it makes a difference. Red is walls, green highlights are doors.

What is the best strat for carpets like this?

I've never really owned a reputable robot vacuum and am still learning, but just bought a Narwhal Flow 2 which gets delivered in a few days (if anyone knows of any major flaws with the Flow 2, speak now).

My house is 2000 sqft and all hard floor, with the exception of a couple 10x10 ft rugs. One of the rugs is the one pictured, and when the threads are stretched up they span about 2.5 inches. I wouldn't think any robot vacuum would be able to handle it, and am expecting to need to just map it out of the floor plan and vacuum manually.

Would that be the best strategy for that kind of rug?

Any tips on logistics of that?

If I have an 8 inch strip of hard floor between that carpet and a wall, would that also be not doable?

A piece broke, and fell out from the power button of my laptop a while ago and now the button does nothing.

The laptop has an aluminum cover over the power button ennards. I pryed it back here so you could see the inside.

Ideally, I'd like to physically fix this power button, but a second choice would be finding some other way to start the laptop long enough to change the startup settings in the BIOS to allow for keyboard or LAN startup.

Does anyone know what to do with this piece of circuitry?

With this new update, Popular is so difficult to stay on and has become extra taps to get to. While in Popular, any extra tap of the back button or any refresh takes the user back to the default screen (which still can't be defined). It is driving me up the wall to have to keep starting over ever few minutes. Am I missing something?

Should I just get a couple more Era 100s, a Beam, or are there speakers that would be better for a smaller space? It would be used as an extension if the music in the rest of the house, as well as for normal PC sounds. Probably wouldn't include a sub.

I am looking at getting a Qi2 25W charger to put on the nightstand for our S25/S26 household, but all the chargers feature this Magsafe magnet (my phone case has one in it). Can someone ELI5 the everyday usage benefits of this?

I assume it is there to better align the phone with the charging coil, but wouldn't you always need to use two hands to remove your phone - one to take the phone, and one to hold the charger down? Seems like it would be hard to roll over in bed and easily grab the phone off the charger with one hand like the older chargers with a "shelf."

Best case, you'd need a sliding/prying technique to get it off with one hand, or am I not imagining it correctly?
