Honestly after using the air for 2 days I wasn’t really happy with the refresh rate. Especially considering I got the 13 in model and here in the USA for new you’re looking at over 1000 after taxes. For what I was paying I wanted the experience to be exactly what I wanted. That’s 120hz with vivid and accurate colors as I use the device for mobile gaming and media consumption. The m4 iPad Pro was another option but at 256 gb it only has 8gb of ram. Apple is already rolling out ai work loads that require at least 12gb of ram from what I’m hearing. I feel like I found the sweet spot with the m5. 256 gb and 12gb of ram should last me years.

After demoing all models at the store i went with this option. For owners of either machine what are some things you love about them and some things you dislike? I personally love the screen real estate and gaming so far. I dislike the refresh rate as I feel the m4 chip is more than capable. Overall I’m very happy with my purchase. Considering the iPad Pro as well honestly the price didn’t entice me too much given the model has 4gb less ram than the air. I think overall I wouldn’t need so much but it’s nice to know I’m more future proofed for even a year or two.

Looking to get a couple of iPads. I want one for me and one for my wife. I’d order through Amazon. I was thinking about getting 2 a16s since this seems like the best budget option. Or would you recommend 2 iPad mini’s with the a17 chip? The difference being Apple ai for the mini. My wife goes to college but she would only use the iPad for basic note taking and just web browsing and streaming. I am not looking for anything crazy as I’ve never owned an iPad since the 1st gen way back in 2010. I’m looking to own this device for at least 5 to 7 years. Out of these 2 options which would you recommend? Or should I look in the second hand market? Sorry for the questions just thinking this was the best place to figure out the best option! Thanks!

Game runs phenomenally well so far what a great pick up on sale!

Performance is okay. Mostly getting above 40 but nothing too major. Looking forward for future updates and patches! Very playable indeed.

Performance isn’t too bad averaging above 40 and the vrr is making it better. Playing unplugged on turbo mode. Settings are preset to low on fsr 3.

Wow! What a great surprise. I never tried returnal so I was reluctant to give this game a shot and I’m glad I did! Gameplay loop was a bit odd to get into but once I adjusted I’ve been breezing through. As a Doom fanatic on series x this has been a breath of fresh air on ps5 pro.

Loving the game so far and also looks fantastic on the series x as well whenever I want the big screen! How are you feeling about the game?

Honestly like this a lot more and feels a bit more sturdier? I feel like the wuchang plates are more creaky since they have more gaps and space for movement.

I want to hear everyone’s opinions on which controllers they like and dislike. I feel like it’s always a hot topic as everyone has different experiences with different game pads. Overall I love the gamesir the most out of all of these with the PlayStation Dualsense Edge in second. I didn’t really like the 8bitdopro2. What are your thoughts and which would you pick if you could only get one?

Are any of you currently playing any games pictured above? I had a blast with Donkey Kong and honestly didn’t like Metroid too much. Which one has been your favorite so far?

I’ve tried several uninstalls and reinstalls tried setting my up specific gamepad modes and still in the middle of games randomly my gamepad disconnects. Any idea? Maybe it’s just a bug? No other games doing this from what I can tell.

Great performance from this little beast. Plugged in at turbo mode and averaging above 60 even in combat. Usually averaging around 55 to 65 in dense city areas.

My main game on the handheld. How do you guys enjoy cod on this beast?

So far I’ve been daily driving my device for a couple months now. I have had very positive experiences w the device except the small hiccup here and there. I own a ps5 pro and series x and find my self playing on the ally way more. Even more than my switch 2 as well! Any questions? feel free to ask!

Lately I’ve been enjoying the Rog Xbox Ally X for its portability and ability to play AAA games while I’m hanging out. Black ops 7 is great at 70 to 80 fps. I also take my time with the ps portal but honestly the bitrate bothers me and I end up just using my Ps5 Pro. On the other hand I love Nintendo games and they have me on a hook as well. Very well optimized first party games. Although I do wish the switch 2 battery life was a bit better.
