Today I decided to use my right arm since I used my left Monday, for some reason I think that I need to give my veins a "break". Problem is, my right arm's vein hangs a left right after the crease in my arm. I warned the guy, he felt it and was confident he could do it. Went for it, the machine ran for about 3 minutes before beeping. He adjusted the needle several times, and finally asked if we can use the other arm. So far, only a few phlebs have been successful with this arm.

Do our veins need a break? Or is that just something I came up with?

Hey there! We've been homeschooling for 18 years now. I have 2 adult sons that did Switched on Schoolhouse and 3 daughters who have done Monarch. The girls HATE Monarch. They find that Monarch is such a heavy workload, and I'd have to agree with them. For one year, they did time4learning and liked it but I felt like at the time it was inadequate and we went back to monarch, which was very frustrating for them.

My oldest is going to start her Senior year, my middle Junior, and my youngest 7th grade. I'm looking around and there's options, but I want to pick your brains and see what you guys like for your high school kiddos that's online. I'm willing for them to use a secular program as long as it's not garbage.

I have been on a 4 week hiatus (failed SPE test, 2 weeks to build it back up, and 10 days for results). Last week I saw that it would be 92 if I donated, but today it shot up to 130. Anyone getting more than last week's today?

So I've had innotox in my fridge for about 3 months now since I got it, I've been waiting for my botox to wear off that I got in a "med spa"...I've had botox many times, but wanted to try this new place and let me tell you, she didn't have a clue what she was doing. My glabella area never truly froze despite going back for a touch up, but across my forehead is still holding. Anyway, my question is how do I figure out units in a ml syringe? I know I got 4-5 "units" in that area, but how much is that in the syringe? Thank you!

I have been tapering off of Klonopin for almost a year now. At first we were going way too fast and it was making my anxiety unbearable, so we went to two weeks and the smallest dose, 0.125mg. That also was too much for my body, so we moved it to monthly. Well I just did my taper this weekend, and this week has been awful. I have been depressed, anxious and having intrusive thoughts. I've had them before, but I have been doing better mentally for the last couple of months. So having debilitating depression and anxiety again is scaring me and I'm so afraid that I'm going back into the black hole of despair. I just this past 6 months have been doing well, although I discuss with my therapist that I feel like I have imposter syndrome because I'm so used to being depressed and anxious for 5 and a half years.

So am I going mad here, or could these be side effects of my taper, however small it is?

ETA: I have been on benzos for 16 years, I started the taper on 4 mg klonopin, now down to 2 mg.

My almost 12 year old will be having a movie party in her grandparents theater, and I need some movie suggestions. They will need to be age appropriate, and prefer no profanity or sexual innuendos. lol. Thanks!

I take my afternoon adderall at 3pm, IR. I had just come from taking my daughter out for icecream and I got a big one, even though I have been eating clean and in a calorie deficit for over a week now. I was full, I took my adderall and said to myself, just rest until you feel it kick in. Well I fell asleep instead! What the heck? Has this happened to any of you before? Thanks all.

My PsychNP put me on Olanzapine 15mg almost a year ago, and in a short amount of time I gained 50lbs. I was already overweight, so now I'm huge. I started eating high protein and a calorie deficit a week ago, along with taking Tirzepatide 5mg a week (2 weeks now).

Anyone have success with losing weight with a GLP-1 while on an antipsychotic?

I went to schedule my appointment for today and it wouldn't let me until Monday. Last week they did my SPE test and I guess the results came back, low protein. I had to go in to find out though because you can't call them directly and the BioLife call center didn't have any information but told me they will call me.

Anyway, she said if I stopped donating for a couple weeks it should go back into normal range. I'm annoyed but it is what it is. I started donating last day of March and I donate 1088ml every time.

Anyone else had this happen? How long did you wait until it went back to normal?

I am at Biolife and at vitals, the guy next to me was saying he loves his tattoos and is sad about not being able to get them while donating. The phleb said you can now, new policy. Anyone hear anything about this?

Hey everyone! I'm new here, and this will probably be long so buckle up! lol

Last week I saw a few different ads on Facebook for the gastric sleeve in Tijuana. I started looking into it, and filled out a medical questionnaire for Dr. Illan. Less than 24 hours, I was approved by the Dr. for surgery! WHAT?! So I have been pouring over information and reddit/facebook to learn all that I can. I deal with a couple different mental health things, such as anxiety, depression, adhd and ocd. I could really feel my ocd flaring up as I have been obsessing over whether or not the sleeve would be for me.

There are some red flags when it comes to this surgery that may not make me the right candidate.

1. Acid reflux. I already deal with mild acid reflux (I think due to medications), so MORE acid reflux does not sound ideal or comfortable.

2)Vaping. I vape a lot, I used to smoke 2 cigarettes an evening, but I stupidly thought that if I switched to vaping, it would be better. I cannot imagine trying to quit vaping right now. I use the disposable ones.

3)Hair loss. I already deal with a good amount of hair loss, I take biotin but still experience hair loss. I had a partial hysterectomy 9 years ago, so I think it might be a hormonal imbalance causing it.

4)Food. I really don't eat a lot, but WHAT I eat is crappy. But a liquid diet beforehand and then liquids/purees etc sounds really scary. Having to prepare separate meals for my family and myself sounds pretty challenging. What if it's someone's birthday and I can't eat at the restaurant? What about eating over at someone's house?

5. The vitamins. I take a women's 50+ multivitamin as it is. But what I don't understand is why your body needs specific vitamins because it is deficient. Is it deficient because of shrinking the stomach? Not getting enough iron and such from foods? I'm not understanding why there is a vitamin deficiency after the surgery.

6. The cost. We had a lot in savings, I was able to get 10,300 dollars worth of dental work in Los Algodones, Mexico several years ago, and currently paid cash for TWO of my children to be in braces. Between all of that, and my husband's business taking a blow due to the economy, we ran out of savings. I was looking into getting a loan, for both the surgery and braces for my youngest child...but I just don't know.

Ok, I think that's it. For reference, I am a 44 year old female 5'8" 256 pounds. I gained 45 pounds due to a medication I'm on, but I can't stop the medication so I've just been buying new clothes :(

A few months ago I used Ark Health and they prescribed 0.5ml (50 units) weekly. I wasn't consistent in taking it and still have it in my fridge. On the label it says it's 12.5 mg weekly. Is this correct dosing?

I've been using this for a couple weeks now, I have some discoloration on both sides of my face along my cheek bones. I feel like they are starting to fade some, but I don't know. I also use tret but not consistently because I apply retinal products at night before I remember the tret.

Anyway, has anyone seen results using Alpha Arbutin? Thank you!

I was watching the phlebs carrying the plasma bags today and I thought, I wonder if any of them turn out to be "bad", and if so, what happens? Anyone know?
