Zone Trooper: The Solo Future War Roleplaying Board Game

YOU are a veteran of a thousand psychic wars,
YOU are a warrior of the cosmic wastelands,
YOU are a lone clone one man war machine,
YOU are... THE ZONE TROOPER.

YOUR mission: infiltrate enemy territory, retrieve top secret plans recorded on VHS tapes, and escape. But the hardest mission of all? just staying alive.

Zone Trooper is a minimalist, retro 80's sci-fi inspired, 1-bit pixel art, one colour, black and white, print and play, one page, Solo Future War Roleplaying Board Game for one player.

Easy to craft: Physically the whole game fits on one sheet of A4, (plus 2 dice, a pencil and eraser) the only crafting required is to cut out the small token, or use a penny or meeple if you have one handy.

Anyone remember a 90s/00s Comedy Sketch Show with D&D LARPers?

Have a vague annoying memory of a mid-late 1990s, possibly early 2000s sketch show. One of the sketches featured two women, dressed in cloaks, wandering through the countryside, or a forest. . I think one was really hamming it up, pretending they were in Lord of the Rings or something, and the other was a bit bored? Then they'd stop and roll dice in order to resolve some kind of conflict. Not sure if the gag was that they suddenly broke the am-dram fantasy scene to play the game, or if the conflicts were real-world things like whose turn it was to get a round in at the pub. Or something like that.

The overall thing seemed to be a but Dungeons & Dragons, or LARP (Live Action Roleplay) inspired. It could have been Sally Phillips and Doon Mackichan, but I don't think it was Smack the Pony because it wasn't rude.

RIP John Blanche (1948-2026)

It is with great sadness that we learned the news of the recent passing of John Blanche, artist who gave shape to the worlds of Warhammer from their very beginning, from behind the scenes concept art for models, to the front covers of games and magazines and everything in between and beyond.

John was a huge talent whose unique vision will be sorely missed.

Thoughts with his friends and family.

1975 Games Workshop Ad.

Just come across a really early GW advert. Before they imported D&D or published Warhammer. Funny how the core business stayed solid through the 80s, magazine, crafted game peices and marketing inovative games from new designers.

Do you know what these two vehicles are?

Hi, these two vehicles were included in Citi-Block (1987) and were intended for use with the Judge Dredd Role-playing Game.

Does anyone know what vehicles from the comics they're intended to represent?

Billy the Fish appearances? Massive Viz Database?

Does anyone know what issues have Billy the Fish strips that weren't published in the 1990 Football Yearbook?

Or even better, is there a massive searchable index of strips / writers / artists / characters somewhere online?

I guess that's why the Nick Bibby's LE1 Space Ork (1986) has a power axe as well. May the 4th Be With You.
