I’ve never played an F-zero game before and picked up the SNES one bc I just bought that console.

I thought that if I used the L and R buttons in tandem with the d pad I would be able to grip the road better but if anything I lost traction even faster.
(Also side note what are L and R even used for outside of making micro adjustments on straightaways)

Is there something I’m missing here?

Basically what I mean is in a lot of of traditional fighting games the longer a combo goes on the less damage, each move in the combo does. So for example, if you were to end a combo with a super, it would do less damage than if you just hit the super raw in the neutral.

There are also specific things like, for example, starting a combo with a perfect parry in street fighter six that scale your combo, even though it just started.

Does streets of rage have that system to worry about in combos? Or do moves do the same damage in every circumstance?

Right now I just pick an attack that I know will hit otg and that is just a little extra damage to tack on to the end of a combo. Are there any otg attacks that allow me to keep the combo going? (Other than a super ofc)

I also want to play multiple characters so if you could give me the best options for all of them that would be greatly appreciated.

I have been using a gtx 1660 for too lang so I’m looking for an upgrade. I’m looking to spend around $300 max.

I don’t really enjoy the ranked experience but playing w friends is fun. Unfortunately none of them own the game and are not really interested in getting better. Idk where to replicate that with people who want to improve/ play more often.

It doesn’t necessarily have to be a super small team or anything but I’m tired of people recommending me AAA slop from Sony, Ubisoft, activision, etc.

Max I’m willing to spend is around 200$

I am using a wired Xbox one controller. I played RE 4 a while ago and it worked fine but now it is messed up. I have been screwing with the god awful button mapping interface to fix a ton of issues where buttons were overloaded and pressing the action button would bring up the map for some reason.

Now I am having an issue where if I am aiming and press the button to shoot, the game will force me out of aiming and back into the normal state where you can move around. This also happens with the knife.

As you imagine not being able to shoot in a third person shooter is extremely problematic. I have tried every setting I can think of both in game and the steam controller support settings and nothing has worked. What are some suggestions of things to try?
