Hi all, newly planted Bloodgood plane in NYC. Light root flare visible when planted, but I have exposed more soil, and it doesn't widen much below.
Meanwhile, I've exposed woody roots (that were already starting to show) and what looks like the trunk going forward and flat beneath this.
My questions.
did these woody roots develop at the nursery when it was planted too deep? Will i ever be able to, or should I ever, cut them? Does it even matter?
is the area where tree goes forward horizontally the right depth for exposure? Can i just leave the 3 woody roots exposed? Do london planes have weird root flare?
Tree is doing well except for some minor leaf scorch on new leaves thanks to the heatwave. Watering when I can - it's a street tree.
Hoping for insight on this. Thanks!
Only missing callery pear.

Hello, as the title says I’m looking for advice on how to proceed with planting an autumn blaze maple my wife purchased 2 weeks ago. I wanted this tree to shade our patio from the evening sun and decided to remove our in ground fire pit to plant it in that location. I removed the fire pit which became a much larger project than i anticipated as it was made completely out of concrete and went down about 3’ into the ground. I wasn’t aware of this until I dug the dirt/sand/boulders from the fire pit which were hiding the actual size of this beast. Now we are left with a giant hole and not much soil due to the amount of concrete. Can I just fill the hole with fill dirt and mix in some organic soil for nutrients or is there something else I need to do in order for the tree to have a long healthy life? Thank you!
3 pics attached with leaf detail.
Location: NYC. Not sure if planted by city or self seeded. Listed as an American chestnut but I'm leaning towards European/sweet chestnut.
Photos from Google Maps. If it's too blurry to tell, I understand.
Nyc - some beautiful patterns, I took a picture of this one

Seriously people. Curb your dog. Tree pits -- especially those with brand new trees in them -- are not your dog's bathroom.
I walked by one of the cherry trees I helped request fron the city in 2024 and the bottom bark is peeling and wet (before the rain). there was crap on the other side of the pit.
Do better folks.
Inb4 the downvotes and transplant comments:
I was born in Bensonhurst. Caring about where you live doesn't make you a transplant. Too many entitled dog owners in this city.
degreeworks down for me
Lowkey when i started collecting deluxes were $15 then 20, 25, now basically 30 USD. I'm tired of Hasbro capitalizing off trade war.

And their AI slop promotion feeding off the real voice actors was the turning point for me. I was going to buy Kranix but man, to hell with that. And ebay is way overpriced so I'm not buying 2ndhand.

Was a TF fan all my life. Downvotes won't surprise me.

Easier than the other one I posted.
This is at the corner of the street, and it's a busy intersection in Brooklyn. Willing to give more clues if noone gets it.
Ok!! This is going to be a hard one. The door is in an allley that leads to an avenue with a name. Borough Brooklyn.
