Is there a good disc for a die grinder?

How do I know if these are original? I only want to bother reskinning and cleaning them up if they’re original

Otherwise it’s not worth it I’ll just pay for new repros

Is it possible for me to do a simple line sketch on a piece of paper, take a photo, and have OnShape create sketch lines from it?

I know I can upload a photo and draw on top of it manually, but I mean something more automatic/precise.

How do you guys manage all the toxicity when it comes to stuff like sanding?

Sanding paint sends a ton of toxic dust in the air, esp if it’s an old car with lead paint. It’s easy to just kind of ignore it but if you do it all the time you’re putting others around you at risk.

I’ll try my best like connect my sander to a shop vac, do it outside if I can, etc but I’m stating to get a little worried

My laptop was 100%, I closed it but did not turn it off. I put it in my bag and less than an hour later it’s extremely hot and has depleted the battery. What happened?

I feel like if the lid is closed and nothing is asked of it it shouldn’t somehow use its entire battery

I want to powerwash some old car seats with a mildewy/moldy smell. I have the Bauer 20v power washer, is it safe to mix some vinegar in with the water I'll be spraying out of it?

I believe the manual says not to mix detergent but I wonder if just a small amount of vinegar is fine

This is a clutch shaft of a motor bike engine, I need to extend one end of it about half an inch. My best idea is to cut the shaft, and weld in a metal rod in between the resulting pieces. I highly doubt I would keep it centered though... any ideas?

I also don't want to pay a machine shop to do a one-off custom part like this. It doesn't have to be perfect it's just for a side project.

I need to extend this shaft in order to offset the engine sprocket. I know you can also just offset the entire motor itself but without going into the details for my particular build that's not a good idea.

Anybody else on debian 13 using the nvidia drivers from the official repo have a problem with Steam flickering?

In-game itself is totally fine, but the steam UI often flickers sometimes the whole screen sometimes just a part of it

My 75% done chopper build. Got a crazy tensioner set up. I just need to offset the engine more to align the chain and it should be smooooth sailing

I want to get some parts made so that I can extend the drive sprocket outward more to accolade a fat tire. How possible is that?

From what I can tell it should be somewhat simple. A longer bucking bar, a drive sprocket with a longer hub, and then some bushings + longer bolts for the sprocket cover.

I know I’ll need to get parts custom made by a machinist which I’m willing to do.

Thanks

Help with aligning door in the inboard/outboard direction (perpendicular to the car)

I’m putting this door back on, new hinges, new latch, etc.

I can’t get the door to sit right in the inboard outboard direction.

Doing all this WITHOUT the striker btw:
- loosened the bolts on the door side of the hinge
- held it in place where I wanted with the ratchet strap
- tightened the bolts back up

When I release the ratchet strap it still moves out. Any tips? Thanks

Is there a way to include my mic audio when using the built in gnome screen recording?

Thanks fellas I’m trying to explain something to my friend. I tried using the built in Sound Recorder gnome app and was gonna merge the two together but it’s very buggy and I can’t get it to work

Completely doing a rebuild, question about the glass channel setting seal strips

All my windows are off the car and it's time for me to clean up the parts and reinstall. Here's the strip I was thinking of buying
https://www.npdlink.com/product/glass-channel-setting-seal-strip-116-thick/141849/202931?year=1965

It says it's sold per length, at 10.95 per foot. Then it says you need about 70 ft total for all windows.

There's no way I need to spend $700 on just this right? Seems crazy

I got too greedy on my test drive and had to walk my bike back up a bunch of hills

Still worth it.

Found out my bike can go at least 35mph, and I’m still breaking it in. The sound changed drastically all of a sudden, I rode a bit and looked down. My exhaust was starting to completely unbolt itself.

When grilling chicken, do I need to switch tongs at some point, because the ones I started with handled raw chicken?

Or does simply using the tongs over the grill kill the bacteria? I want to grill chicken but I also don't want to get salmon umbrella

What's a good undercoating for fenders? Main concern is sound insulating

I've already looked it up but I wanted to get more opinions/experiences from others.

I wouldn't mind brushing it on, I would guess it would go on thicker that way.

Maybe a dumb question, but do these go inside the door (sandwiched by the latch and door) or does they go outside (door is sandwiched by latch and plate)?
