Rudy , my cross shar mastiff enjoying the summers day

Growing at the bottom of my garden which i am currently turning into a wild garden ..can any one idr please.?

I have a shar cross mastiff... he will be 2 in September. A few weeks back i noticed he was shutting his eyes and sometimes rubbing at them so I took him to the vets and she says he has entropion but it has not damaged the cornea yet. She said to leave it as long as we can as if she does surgery this young he will probably need it again later in life as he will get more wrinkles. She also stated that surgery can lead to scar tissue that affects the eye.reason for leaving it as long as possible) Looking at photos of other Sharpei on here and i notice alot of photos the dogs seem to have there eyes shut? Is this normal ? I am always worried about him and don't know what to do...surgery now or keep hanging on? Should i get a second opinion before diving into surgery. Some days are better than others and i am convinced he has an allergy to something so elimination of different things ie chicken, washing powder , i wipe him down after a walk . It would make sense if he had a allergy and his eyes sometimes look a little sore, but it varies through the day so i am so confused. Any help appreciated.
