What age did you give your toddler a pillow?

Is 14 months too young? I’ve seen conflicting advice on wether they just need to be over 12 months or wether they should be 2 before introducing a pillow

My daughter is just obsessed with pillows, we recently transitioned her to a floor bed but any time I bring my pillow in with me to lie on while I’m settling her she insists on lying on it and falls asleep much quicker. I will then pull it out from under her but I’m wondering can I just get her a toddler pillow at this age (14 months). Was looking at the keababies one

Did a floor bed help you teach your toddler independent sleep?

Wondering if a floor bed would help me to teach my 13 month old to fall asleep independently? The thought is that I could lie beside her while she falls asleep and comfort her and gradually reduce the amount of help I give or is that not really effective?

Throwing up during ferber

Okay so I attempted Ferber with my 13 month old last night for the first time and she threw up before we even made it to the second check in.

Do some babies genuinely just not have the temperament for sleep training? Is there a more gentle method that still is effective at this age?

What are your thoughts on a floor bed for helping her to develop independent sleep skills? I.e. lying beside her while she falls asleep and gradually reducing the help I give etc etc

I need to sleep train my 13 month old - please please help

My daughter is 13 months and currently is nursed or rocked to sleep, this had been working well but the last few weeks it’s absolutely impossible and bedtime is taking hours because she wakes at every single transfer attempt

She is currently in the process of dropping to 1 nap, most days we have only 1 nap but still the occasion second bridge nap needed

Schedule I am for is
7 - wake
11-1 / 1:30 nap
8/8:30 - bedtime

Recently she’s woken before 7 a lot, around 6/6:30 so her schedule is sometimes a little off

Do I need to wait until she’s completed the nap transition to sleep train?

We also night weaned a few months ago

Ideally I would not like to do CIO but im pregnant with my second and we are getting desperate so I’m open to considering it
I’m worried her temperament wouldn’t work well with CIO, she will genuinely just cry and cry and cry and eventually make herself throw up

Help with my 13 month old

It’s becoming impossible to transfer my daughter when she’s asleep and she’s starting to want to go into her crib instead of being held but she eventually gets worked up

If we leave the room she cries, she’s the type to cry so much she’ll throw up so I don’t want to do CIO

Did we leave it too late or will another method work at this age?

Unisom while nursing?

Hi all, my daughter is 13 months old (still nursing) and I am currently 8 weeks pregnant, the nausea is killing meeee, b6 alone is not helping at all and I’ve seen conflicting advice on wether or not unisom is safe while nursing, does anyone have any insight?

She is mostly night weaned if that makes a difference, so I could take the unisom at like 8pm after she goes to bed and she wouldn’t nurse again for like 8-10 hours usually. Some nights are bad nights of course and she will nurse but I can avoid that if it’s unsafe

TIA

First trimester nausea

What weeks was your nausea in the first trimester the worst? With my daughter, weeks 8-12 almost killed me, I’m currently 8 weeks pregnant with my second and weeks 6-8 have been brutal but it seems to be getting slightly better. Curious if I could have just gotten the peak earlier this time or if the worst is still to come

Double strollers?

Are there any side by side strollers that are not impossible to navigate in the city? That can get in and out of doorways easily?

I have the uppababy vista right now and love it as a single but absolutely hate the double configurations and would prefer a side by side. But I will keep my vista and can use that + baby wear if going somewhere the side by side is too tricky

2 under 2 - tandem nursing?

I recently found out I’m expecting my second and my daughter just turned 1 in July. My original plan was to nurse her until she turned 2 but is that going to be too hard now? Has anybody successfully tandem nursed and not found it extremely overwhelming?

Floor beds?

Does anybody have experience with floor beds? My daughter just turned 1 and I’m back and forth about switching her from her crib to a floor bed

For context, She does not sleep through the night and is still nursing so it would be amazing to be able to lie down with her at night or co sleep on the bad nights.

My concern is that she’s used to her crib and maybe switching would make it worse? Or maybe it’s too early to switch maybe we should have done a floor bed from day 1.

Any experience or advice?

Also does anybody have specific floor beds they recommend? Specifically mattresses, I have no idea where to start

How do you find trustworthy babysitters?

We have an almost 1 year old and no family around us and we are desperately ready to start having some date nights soon but finding a reliable babysitter makes me really anxious!

How did you all find reliable date night sitters? And also, what age were you comfortable leaving them with a sitter? Did you out baby to bed first? I feel I would definitely do that but obviously if she were to wake up the sitter would need to be able to resettle her so maybe it makes more sense for the sitter to do bedtime? Idk!!

11 month old STILL struggling with solids?!

I posted about a month ago that my baby is still not interested in solids and will refuse all three meals some days, sometimes she does do good with dinner.

I really don’t think it’s an issue with physically eating or anything like that but just a massive nursing preference.

Is anyone still struggling with this? I’m getting worried now

Her ped was not helpful when I reached out. She told me to just wean :(

Pediatrician recommended weaning😭

My daughter is not very interested in solids but now that her first birthday is suddenly so close I’ve been stressing about it so reached out to her PED and she thinks my baby just loves breastfeeding too much and suggested beginning to wean. I’m so sad, I didn’t want to wean anytime soon. Is anyone in a similar situation? Any advice or things to try before I start to wean?😭😭

Struggling with solids

I posted about this a little about a month ago but my baby is still not super interested in solids and I’m starting to feel very stressed about it. I would say on average she eats none of her breakfast, barely any lunch, she might have a fruit pouch during the day at some point and eat about 3/4 of it, and she does pretty well with her dinner usually will eat a good amount of it.

Is this normal? She is breastfed and is 100% just preferring to nurse. I try to wait a couple hours between nursing and offering solids and it doesn’t seem to improve how much she eats. Any advice?

She is 10 months old today and I wasn’t planning to wean anytime soon but maybe I need to for her to eat better? I am at a loss
