Which modern Need for Speed game has physics closest to classic NFS or Underground 2?

I mean when you yank the handbrake at 150 mph the car keeps its momentum and goes into a long slide instead of instantly pivoting or losing all its speed.

Is there any modern NFS that still feels like the old ones?

How to show tabs when I hover my mouse at the top in fullscreen mode?

Coming from Firefox, I miss this feature in Chrome.

In fullscreen, moving the mouse to the top of the screen would instantly reveal the browser toolbar, hidden tabs and address bar, etc., allowing me to switch tabs or access extensions, settings and all that without exiting fullscreen mode. It will instantly hide again when I move the mouse cursor away from it.

Is there a setting that enables this behavior on Chrome?

Price hike before major Steam Sale... Name a more iconic duo

Edit: the game is Krush Kill 'N Destroy 1 & 2

I know this is technically within the rules since the price increase happened over 30 days ago, but increasing the price before a major sale so the discount looks bigger is still a scummy move.

Alienware AW2725D capped 120Hz with DLDSR (5120x2880)

TL;DR - Trying to understand why my monitor's refresh rate is being capped to 120Hz when I use DLDSR 1.78x (5120x2880) over HDMI 2.1. Based on information I've found, DSC is not supported over HDMI on this monitor. Is 120Hz expected in this scenario, or is something wrong?

How does DLDSR actually work? Does the GPU render the image at 5120x2880 and then downsample it to 2560x1440 before outputting it to the monitor?

If so, shouldn't the monitor only see a 2560x1440 signal? If that's the case, why wouldn't it allow the same maximum refresh rate as native QHD?

Put another way, why is my monitor limited to 120Hz when I run 5120x2880?

Setup:

  • GPU: RTX 5080
  • Connection: HDMI 2.1 (original cable that came with the monitor)
  • Monitor: Alienware AW2725D
  • Windows 11 Pro

Cannot select 4K (3840x2160) DLDSR on a native 2560x1440 monitor

https://preview.redd.it/3qwy3tdp3w8h1.png?width=556&format=png&auto=webp&s=0f65d3e9e167f08dc150122fde5ce704315c4758

Am I remembering this wrong? Because I remember being able to select DLDSR at 4K (3840x2160) on my native 2560x1440 display, or am I just imagining it?

Another thing I'm trying to understand is why my monitor gets capped at 120Hz when I run DLDSR 1.78x (5120x2880) or whether that's normal or not over HDMI 2.1.

My monitor is Alienware Aw2725D, and here's more info about the issue.

Alienware AW2725D stuck at 120Hz with DLDSR (5120x2880)

Alienware AW2725D is stuck at 120Hz when using DLDSR 1.78x (5120x2880). I can see a DSC option in the monitor's OSD, but it's greyed out. I'm not currently using HDR.

Setup:

  • GPU: RTX 5080
  • Connection: HDMI 2.1 (original cable that came with the monitor)
  • Monitor: Alienware AW2725D
  • Windows 11 Pro

Native mode works fine at 2560x1440 and 280Hz without any issues. Great monitor, great colors and good HDR, but I can't seem to figure out why I can't turn off DSC.

Does anyone know what might be causing this?

YouTube VP9 videos buffer endlessly while AV1 playback works fine, need help diagnosing the cause

I'm having a strange issue with YouTube playback.

AV1 videos start instantly and play smoothly, even at 4K and higher resolutions. But VP9 videos take much longer to start, constantly buffer and even after playback begins they repeatedly stop to buffer again.

For example:

I've already tried a clean install, deleted all browser profiles, and confirmed that the VP9 video extensions is installed from the Microsoft store.

Any ideas why that's happening with VP9?

System:
9800X3D
RTX 5090
32GB RAM
Windows 11 Pro
Drivers are up to date.

Forza Horizon 6 and the lack of a sense of speed

I don't want to sound negative or come across as whining, but I hope I'm not the only one who feels this way.

This game seriously lacks a sense of speed for me. I can be driving well over 100 mph, yet it still feels like I'm cruising through a parking lot.

I hate the fact that i've only played for a few hours and already feeling bored :/

Hot Wheels X Wreckfest collab

I was bored and had an idea about what if Wreckfest and Hot Wheels did a collab.

Would actually be very cool. And yes, it's an AI slop.

[PSA] You can no longer choose a custom install directory for Epic Games Launcher

Just wanted to let others know because I thought something was wrong with my system. I spent a while messing with the registry thinking there was some leftover installation causing the launcher to keep installing itself on my C drive.

After some troubleshooting, I found out that they no longer provide the option to install the launcher on a different drive.

Is the VRAM/memory leak on PC actually real?

Every time I look into it I find people saying completely different things.

Some say the game still has memory leak issues during long sessions and performance gets worse after a few hours. Others insist there is no leak.

There's still no clear answer and as far as I know there was never any official communication from the devs addressing it either. No update since Apr 25, 2023 (38 months ago) 🤯

So here we are in Q2 2026 and there's no clear answer. Which is true?

Worth playing in 2026? What’s the future of the game?

This game has been on my wishlist for a while, but I’ve seen pretty mixed views about it.

What matters most to me is whether the developers are actively supporting the game and fixing ongoing issues, or just making changes that don’t really address the core problems like what’s been happening with Helldivers 2.

Is it actually worth investing time in this game?

The color grading in Battlefield 2042 is so much better than Battlefield 6

Reddit heavily compresses images. Here’s the link to the uncompressed images. https://imgur.com/a/offEmKR

The first long vertical image is random screenshots comparing it to the latest BF title.

The other ones are my own screenshots, both games on ultra settings.

There is something really off with the colors in BF6, like the piss filter from mid late 2000s games and somehow the overall graphics despite playing on ultra is blurry.

Keychron K2 firmware update changelog for V1.2.2?

I just saw my Keychron K2 has a firmware update but I can't find any info about the changelog.

What changed in Keychron K2 firmware version V1.2.2? I checked the official Keychron site but can’t find clear update notes for this version.

Also, should I update if it's not broken?

Does Moza AB6 work well for WWII dogfights vs non-FFB sticks?

I am reading reviews for the Moza AB6, and they say something like “Gear-driven AB6 has noticeable cogging/texture in small inputs” and I’ve been wondering whether that actually becomes a problem in WWII dogfighting/BFM once you get into precise inputs?

Basically I’m trying to figure out whether a non-FFB bases is a better choice and end up being better for WWII dogfights, even if they’re less immersive.
