Been noticing this in a lot of post-match and post-game reviews. Even when people genuinely appreciate SRH and say good things about how the side is playing together, somehow the discussion always drifts back into comparisons with other teams. The focus rarely stays on SRH for long. It becomes more about what another team is doing wrong, what’s missing there, or how this connects back to the usual favourites and narratives.
But I think that’s a good thing. There’s less noise around the team’s performances, less overreaction, less constant criticism. Even when the team is doing really well, the kind of glazing and nonstop hype that usually surrounds other teams is mostly absent here. Feels like the fanbase just enjoys the cricket without turning every game into drama, agenda pushing, or extremes.
