Why would you ever build outdoors?

I dont see the point of it you can be attacked from all sides and have to worry about drop pods raids compared to mountain bases where yes you can get infestations but those can be migitgated with choke points and a few cleaner pawns

So why is it always more popular to build outdoors?

Is it just cause if asthetic?

Why Paratroopers are so underdeveloped

Almost nobody uses them when they can be super powerful exept for a cheesy insta capitulation on france.

Why cant the AI use them like they use every other special forces troop I have almost 1000 hours and never seen them used by the AI

Why have the player waste technology on transport plans upgraded versions? Like I get why you would need to research transport planes but even so why would you ever want to upgrade them instead of spending that time on newer industrial teck?

Has anyone tried to devovle a nation?

So is it possible to turn your nation from hardcore monarchy to like communist and back to hardcore monarchy in the same play through?

As if completely devovle the laws, bring back slavery, introduce traditionalism, become isolationist, and all thise other monarchy laws?

What DLC is best for me?

So I currently have about 1000 hours with no DLC and aas thinking of buying one in the next sale but there are so many and im not sure which will be best for me?

Im not much of a RP guy but I dabble in some

I like creating nations and doing cool decisions that not many do (africa, isreal, west slavia)

A lot of replayability with content that isnt tied to one portion of the map

Thoughts on what would suit me best im thinking about royal court for the culture mixing but idk if thats a good reason to get it compared to other DLC

AITA for getting mad at my friends for completely leaving me to dry

I recently gained a load of new "friends" as you would call them these past few months as they were introduced to me by a mutual friend who we will call "Jeff". we have hung out the 4 of us almost every day for months and so I believe we have gotten pretty close over this time and so this all leads to last week when I introduced them all to my other friend who we will call "bob", Bob got along great with them over the few hours they got to know him and so it comes to tonight where I find out that all my "friends" are going to a small get together with alcohol and maybe a few more people.

when I found out and asked Jeff why I wasn't invited considering its with the entire group I have hangout with for months and that I felt betrayed by this all considering Bob was invited and they have known him for less than 2 weeks Jeff told me to not worry about it and that the host said I couldn't come cause she doesn't know me. the thing is she also doesn't know bob in the slightest and bob doesn't know the host or much about the other guests. so when I got pissed at my friend Jeff and told him how hypocritical it was he basically tried to pity me by saying he was sorry and that we should hang soon. I then ask a different mutual friend of Jeff who is also close with the group of "friends" at the party about the situation she told me she already knew about it (she is currently in Florida and wont be back for weeks) this means in my mind that they would rather invite someone who is hundreds of miles away than invite me.

so as of right now I am currently pissed off cause I thought we were all good friends but to see then throw away and toss me to the side in place of someone else tears at my heart cause I spent so much time with them. AITA for getting mad at Jeff and Bob and all those others or am I just envious of there situation?

Edit: added paragraphs to not make it a giant wall of text.

Edit 2: forgot to add bob was brought by my “friends” as a plus 1 not invited by the host

Is the game worth the price?

Should I just wait for a sale or buy now?
And is the game being meaningfully developed still with new content and features?
I used to play it when I had gampass around launch time but I wouldn’t pay 40 dollars for what the game was back then, is the 40 bucks worth it now?

Edit: I no longer have gamepass forgot to say

Is there a historical AI off button like in HOI4?

Anyone know if there is a setting like this that just makes the AI crazy random and leads to wild outcomes or if not maybe a mod for this?

Are military buildings worth it?

I feel like I could get a lot more out of maxed farms than a maxed camp as like 1.5 gold seems way better than 625 leveis and some maa bonuses?

Am I wrong here?

Whenever I buy DLC I immediately lose all enjoyment of a game?

I know it sounds wierd but this is usually how it goes

I binge a paradox game (stellaris, vic3, hoi4) with little to no DLC then after like a LONG time I finally convince myself to get DLC but then I just get boared and dont hop on the game for months like for example I had 800 hours in vic3 no dlc and when I finally got them all during summer sale I played for like 10 hours and haven’t gotten on in like 2 months. Same thing for stellaris and Hoi4 and now im playing ck3 and want to but DLC but I just have a feeling I will get boared of the game soon after DLC

Does this happen to anyone else?

Should I take this up with psychology reddit i stead?

How to make games more crazy?

So I own no DLC so idk if DLC changes anything but ive become so board with the cycle of CK3 nothing ever happens in the longrun like I have never seen a major nation form or a kingdom dissolve or the east romans collapse and even when something cool happens nothing comes of it for example the muslums holywared the kingdome of france and won in 1099 and held it for over 150 years and in that time there was 3 counties converted and 4 clan dutchies

Are there mods or something to make games more interesting?

Im hoping to have a crazy wild mega campaign but nothing ever happens in the game.

Why does byzantium never fall apart?

In every mega campaign I play I have to forcibly destroy them becuase they never ever fall apart in the 1066 start date and I dont want a mega empire that rules the world at the start of EU4 is there a mod that makes them more prone to fallow irl events and have a slow decline like irl or do I just have to find a way to dismantle them in every game or else?

Whats the craziest religion you ever made?

Recently just started looking at all the tenants you can have for religion and just made my balkan slavic religion called Slavolic where there is no pope no church, pastoral isolationism, lay clergy, and some other crazy mountain stuff.

Just wondering if anyone else has any cool ideas on a fun religion or made a really cool one at some point?

I havent played in a while so Idk if the education system has changed at all?

I thought if I had say a diplo education then my kid assuming they are gifted at diplo and going to uni would get at least a level 3/4 but they come out with level 2 every time?
