Finally got more chess pieces for my current project

I had been hunting for these lately using streetpass and I was stuck with only the pawn and the king.

I know the floor isn't the right one, but I was told is an exclusive or something, so I just gave up and got one similar enough. hopefully I can find the rest of the set.

Don't mind me, I'm just multitasking

(I always forget to see Totakeke live and get the free songs lmao)

I have no words

I was looking for stuff to buy in the streetpass homes, and I got across this one.

I don't know if these are all the characters, but man, this is impressive (and a bit unhinged I guess lol)

The artist that made fanarts for my fic made me a cover now!

I know that AO3 doesn't really work like Wattpad and there's no true need for a cover art, but I wonder how can I add it now.

Oh, she also said she wanted to do a whole comic about it! Btw no, this is not one of those scam bots thank god, we've been interacting on twitter for a while now, in fact her fanarts were the main reason I got the motivation to actually finish my fic.

She's also doing it for the love of the game too, but I've already told her to please not overwork herself lmao. In her words my fic is inspiring her so much she has to do it.

I'm so incredibly happy. Even if, for whatever reason, she doesn't finish it (which I would totally understand, my fic is like 88000 words after all), just the idea of inspiring someone else to this point is enough for me <3

Found this adorable hoodie keychain today

Street marker find, so I put one of my own dolls for the post.

I love it, is very cute, but it doesn't feel very safe to carry a Polly doll around, I saw pictures a while ago, and I thought it was made of hard plastic, almost like a 2 piece armor thing lol. Please tell me I'm not alone on this 🥹

I don't know, it feels like the soft rubber kinda defeats the purpose? I have a bag with a transparent pocket so I think it would be a good place to carry her around.

The case included when I bought it was pretty beaten up, and I have a transparent case now, but I missed the front cover.

This one fits better than I expected, which is great since my kindle is old now, and finding stuff for it is getting difficult..

Not bad for a street market find.

EDIT: If someone can find me a good picture of Kain's model in game to complete the set, please let me know lmao I can't leave Raziel alone on this xD

Lol I couldn't find a picture of his back of I would had added the clan symbol between the wings like a concert t-shirt or something.

For the same reason I didn't added a Kain version, I'm feeling a bit too lazy to open the game for a screenshot 🫠 (is 1 AM for me right now, so... yeah)

So I was investigating how letters were written and folded, thinking in a bit of handwriting practice for myself; and I noticed a bit of a difference between the miniseries and what I found out, was the way to do it historically.

The miniseries takes the paper (written in one side), folds it in only 3 parts, and uses the wax seal to keep them together, almost like a form of binding in some scenes. It doesn't feel like a very safe way to keep a letter closed, of the contents private, I think. The sides are exposed quite a lot.

The many videos I've watched about the historical Regency style, fold the paper a lot more, and use both sides of the paper too. I learned this was to save as much paper and money as possible, which was very interesting information. The special edition of the book with included letters seems the most accurate version of this.

Now, I assume that for the mini series it was just easier for the actors to interact with the letters in this way, and it would look much better in camera too. But now I'm wondering, what's the origin of this particular style of letters? Or it is just made up for the mini series out of convenience?

Is winter here, and I'm desperate for something to cover my neck but is not a regular scarf that gets tangled or loose. So after a failed search in Google (no one is making knitting patterns of this niche thing apparently), I ended up finding these free patterns.

I'll figure out later how to add the razielim symbol on top, but can't decide on which should I choose. The first one is the closest I think, but I'm afraid it won't work with thicker yarn (and I need this to be warm too).
