FWD: Tomorrow! Letter Writing to the Prairieland Defendants
Join us at Monkeywrench Books tomorrow, Saturday July 4th from 12-2PM to write letters to the Prairieland defendants.
They are in there for us, we are out here for them.
Here’s a direct mailing option for those of us outside Austin, around the state. Important Note: "All mail is monitored by state and federal law enforcement. Be extremely mindful of what you are writing. Do not under any circumstances discuss the facts of the case and do not include overtly political commentary. Consider writing about fun things you’ve done, tell stories, or transcribe your favorite poem." https://prairielanddefendants.com/write-to-the-defendants
SATX initiative to collect box fans to provide relief to senior citizens living in homes without air conditioning from July 1st-July 31st!
Even if you’re going to fan fest, stop by here first!

If anyone's up in Temple, there's an event Friday from 1-6p (w food and childcare) centered around teaching communities how to help themselves organize alternatives to the police. There will be training on FOIA requests, gun safety, working with firefighters instead of police, and a few other things.
📣Our politicians continue to enact policies and laws against the existence of Queer and Trans people — feeding the far right narrative trying to force us back into a box built on white supremacist western ideals. People’s Pride is how we can deny the oppression of Two-Spirit, Hijra, Muxe, Sekrata, Bakla, Queer, and Trans people around the world.
