How to overcome the need for something "on your back" for back tucks when it comes to confidence to try?

So I think I narrowed why I can't transition to doing back tucks on my own via floor, airtrack, tramp, foam pit, pool, and that's because all drills require something "on" my back.

Set jumps I fall on my back so I can get a really high set as I'm not trying to go over but "fall" onto my lower back. When I try to flip the way I set I just do a really big rainbow jump and I land on my back.

Pull over drills I roll off a block

The hollow body drill involves me laying down the entire time

Back rolls (recommend to help get over the fear of going over from behind) I feel and use the roll. As such a back roll feels completely different from a tuck

Spots have pressure on my back

As such since I've been training these ways for so long when I jump and I feel nothing on my back I feel "lost" so my body panics. I'm too used to the back sensation so even a spotted flip where my coach doesn't help at all I dont translate into confidence because I still "feel" something in my back.

I really feel like I've been at the "drill" stage for so long that subconsciously my body "expects" something on my back and this can't disconnect the move attempt from the feeling.

Is there anyway to overcome this? Every single solo and assisted drill needs something on my back or the floor as a brace. i have not reached solo attempts at all until I get over this mental hang up?

How would you rate Shinji's flirt game?

Drawn by acoldbox

Shinji realized that stalling was pointless. He sighed in defeat and he looked up once more. The anxiousness in his eyes never left but they were reinforced with resolve and quiet strength like a thin piece of steel folding upon itself.

"The sunrise reminds me of you."

Asuka's retort lodged in her throat like a three car pile up and the blush that left his face transferred to hers. Stillness hung in the air and sensing the opening, Shinji calmly stood up, thanked her for the conversation, bowed and left the patio, leaving Asuka alone in her stunned silence.

It took a few minutes for her to recover and began her small trek to her room. One more glance back to the half open patio door reminded her of one detail that was lost in the chaos.

He didn't apologize afterwards.

Are there any good tutorials for pelican curls for beginners?

I want to learn pelican curls but often when I do them I do less leaning forward and more just pulling my arms back and then I associate the "stretch" and think I'm loading my chest and biceps. It's like I lean forward and get stuck so I never get the full extension. One weird side effect is then I get into the hanging position but when I lean forward I take the rings with me. At the moment I just go as far as I can leaning then move the arms back but I have no idea is that will help me get to the full move.

All the tutorials never go into progressions and just show how to do the movement normally and I can't find any other material that covers the move.

Found this ring workout program. I have no idea what a ring assisted standing/squatting calf raise is.

I found a ring workout that goes over a series of workouts and now I am lost on what to do when it says "standing/squated" calf raises as I can't find a single tutorial on the exercise and the ring guide itself does not highlight the move. I know what they are without the rings but I have no idea if there is such an exercise or are we supposed to do the move in assisted.

This is the one part of exercise programming I always fail at and that's due to me not being able to figure out what exercise does what. I have an image of the program if you need a reference as I can't post images here.

Forced to now work in a big open office setting so we can be visually seen collaborating with each other

My job went from hybrid to mandatory being in office which already sucked especially since on slower days where we have no scheduled events all my work is just answering emails and doing internet calls "all could which can be done at home" a lot of my time is spend waiting around being "on call" and as such our team would just work in small audio privacy rooms if we wish. I like doing so as in general I do my best work alone and i like visiting people if needed and when its slow i just do whatever side work or goof off i want cause im done.

NOW they want us to work in one big cluster so we can be seen visually collaborating with other departments and that just utterly pisses me off. This means i have to constantly fake being busy and can't do any other side stuff on my PC because someone can walk up and look over my shoulder. I hate this. I'm hyper productive as is, i get everything done and more and clearly this move really feels like its forcing people into ONE working style. I have done big group work settings and I find it utterly impossible to focus on my tasks as I have my own personal workflow.

Stuff like this is honestly making me consider looking for other opportunities because I like my work autonomy.

How high is the starting height for ring dips?

I've found so many tutorials about how to do them, how to progress, what they work out and common mistakes but I haven't found any resources on how high the rings should start. Are they chest level, waist level? I have no idea. I'm just starting so you can imagine how frustrating it is to look for info where everyone makes guides assuming "you know" and they don't even cover something as basic as this.

Regardless, when I start a ring dip how high should the starting height be?

So far at chest level I couldn't get into position as I'm took weak and at waist level I just don't have enough clearance as I'm just standing still when I push

How busy is the park in early November?

Looking to visit around the first/second week of November and debating if we need fast lane access and how many tickets (want to do both parks). Is the park slow on those days or should we splurge for either more days or fast lane access?

Fowler's strength comes from the fact he's a better "artist" than Mizu.

Episode 7 a wonderful episode where Mizus ethos is challenged best represented by her sword being too pure. She sees herself only as an instrument of revenge and every waking moment was devoted to turning herself into a living weapon and denied herself companionship, sexual pleasures, recreation and other delights.

When we meet Fowler we see how he's grown bored in his confines and his pursuit of painting and sex are seen as hedonism but by the shows themes this is where he differs from Mizu. While Fowler also has a grand scheme, his mastery of multiple arts and chasing of pleasures show (and even considering religion) an open mindness that Mizu lacks. He lives life unrestrained and not needing to hide his desires or intentions give the man a quiet confidence that makes him feel more secure with himself and doesn't need to posture. It only makes sense that Fowler was able to defeat Mizu in combat as such.

Like Mizu, he also has a goal of killing someone but where Mizu's plan is simple. Fowler's plot of murder extends beyond his own self and incorporates politics, social elements and artistic creativity (hiding gun parts as pieces of furniture). By mixing in outside elements, Fowler's plan is way stronger than anything Mizu has created for this very reason.

So is this a reference to something?

The manga plays it off as a known joke but I'm missing all the context

A hug out of desperation

He didn’t need to hear anymore and latched onto those thorny words to help ground him to reality. His arms shot out and held onto her like a lifeline, gripping her waist and torso with as much strength as his thin limbs could muster to drive out the last remnants of the waking nightmare he experienced.

Am I jumping and spotting too soon for the gainer?

Ever since I cleaned up the scoot and take off I'm getting a really high gainer. From the scoot setup do you also push the hips forward? I'm not too sure how to experiment with the move to get a better inversion.

How do you consistently get 4 star tricks?

Im watching my thumb complete the motions and it really feels like they come out by chance. I go for a Front 360 Cancel kick but get a 540 heel even if i do the motion fast or slow. What am i missing?

I wish there was a training mode.

So many of the advance tricks I keep missinputing and would love to just have a mode where I can practice and drill the tricks over and over again.

Fighting a 5 year mental block. What are good phrases to use to stop the mental spiral?

I do a form of gymnastics and for 5 years I have not moved past the beginner level because I am hard stuck on a single move. I am struggling in two areas.

  1. A big aspect to build confidence is to "identity my strengths" and in these 5 years I have identified I have no strengths at all. Every aspect of the hobby I feel like I'm fighting for my life, I don't have flow, I can't get in the zone and no skill or group of skills I feel "comfortable" unlike everyone else. I see myself unique as I found a way to be "bad at everything" so finding stuff with confidence is beyond difficult for me

  2. I often fall into mental pits because of my prolonged stuck period and often phrases like "I'll get there" or "slow and steady" are used but these things feel like lies. These 5 years I haven't made any progress so phrases like "I'll practice and I will get it" feel so wrong because out of everyone in class (and I know because they told me) I train and study the most and have been responsible for teaching at least 10 students how to perform the move I'm stuck in. There's this big mental disconnect I feel when I say "I got this" when I clearly don't. What's the way to talk to myself in a realistic manner that doesn't have me put myself down so often?

Switch 1 green blinking light on charging deck, does not register charging cable plugged directly, does not turn on

I tried holding the power button for 30 seconds and other basic fixes (power cycle charging station, blew on the ports)

I remember setting the switch down on the station and seeing the battery icon pop up then I come back and it just is black and no response.

Did it die on me or is there something else I can do?
