[Spoilers Extended] is the ending of the series going to be apocalyptic?

Is the others invasion going to be apocalyptic? In the show the others invasion stopped in the north, but in the books I imagine they’ll get further south, so is the ending of the series going to have most of Westeros’ population die?

[Spoilers Extended] does anyone else love to hate Unwin Peake?

Unwin is such a dick and outrageous in his power-grasping that I kinda circle back to liking him, like bro is head of the 8th most prominent house in the reach(at best) and is moving insane 😂. Bro finessed his way into becoming the de-facto ruler of the realm not because he’s particularly smart or crafty but by virtue of everyone being dead from either the dance and the winter fever. He’s like a looney tunes character, somehow survived 2nd tumbleton, got off Scot-free after clearly attempting a coup, and is still alive by the end of fire and blood. I really hope we get blood and fire, I wanna see what shenanigans he gets up to next.

In show-canon was Tywin seeing Alys offscreen? Or did Gregor yeet her from a window or something?

[Spoilers extended] Is Lyn Corbray actually a pdf or was Littlefinger just saying Lyn is gay?

After watching the latest house of the dragon where Ormund unsubtly implies that Gwayne is gay got me wondering about Lyn.

[Spoilers Extended] Is Shiera Seastar still alive by the time of the mystery knight? Could she appear in a future story?

Dunk the Lunk interacting with a sexy sorceress sounds peak.

[Interesting/Frustrating Trope] Whatever happened to the mouse?

“Whatever happened to the mouse?” Is a trope where a character just straight up disappears from the plot with little to no explanation.

  1. Reze from chainsaw man: Last seen in the manga being defeated by ponchita after being hypnotized by Makima We never see her again, which is weird because in part 2 we see every hybrid but her.
  2. Socks from Atlanta: Steals Paper boy’s phone and seems to be bieng set up as the main antagonist of the season and then…we never see him again.
  3. Benjen Stark from A song of ice and fire: Goes ranging north of the wall and is never seen again. Did the other get him? Did the wildlings? The show merges him with a book character called coldhands but George(the writer) explicitly told his editor that Benjen is not coldhands.

[Funny Trope] Celebrity/Actor paradox

An Actor/Celebrity paradox is when an actor playing a character within the work is also acknowledged to be an actor who has done work elsewhere which leads to a fun little paradox.

Goodfellas/The sopranos: Goodfellas as a movie canonically exists in the Sopranos universe which means Chris just happens to look exactly like that guy Joe Pesci killed.

Pulp Fiction/Armageddon: Pulp fiction is mentioned offhandidly in Armageddon, so there’s an astronaut that just so happens to look like Bruce Willis.

American Horror Story: AHS is an anthology series(mostly) that reuses a lot of the same actors each season but they play different characters. The creator has said in-universe the different characters played by the same actors look nothing alike.

One thing I loved about the sopranos is how tertiary characters could slowly become more and more important.

Eugene goes form background to character to having an episode focus on him. Carlo slowly become more important, after just being a guy. Vito gets a whole storyline, and he just used to be the guy that hung out with Ralph.

Now that France vs. Spain is confirmed in the real wc, do you think there’s any significance to Loki and Bunny looking at each other in this color spread

I think one of the biggest problems with the show is that it refused to transfer Alicent’s status as the secondary protagonist/pov to Aegon 2

Since the show refused to let her take a backseat, they had to insert artificial plotlines such as her betraying her family in order to give her agency, because after the green council her major role is already done.

[Spoilers Extended] How and when did House Velaryon fall off?

They still seem pretty powerful by the end of fire and blood under Alyn, but irrelevant during A Clash of Kings. So when did the fall off happen? After daeron 1? During the Blackfyre rebellion? Robert’s rebellion?
