Why is mario my favorite character?

When I was a little kid i never knew who mario was at first, then my cousin brought his GameCube over to play with my older brother To play Mario sunshine I joined them to see who mario is, I didn't finish it (neither did my brother or my cousin) after a year my parents bought the wii and super mario bros wii, for the first I start to play it i saw mario again but the beginning of the story bowser kidnap peach, so mario, luigi, and 2 toads went and rescue the princess as soon im the only one playing (and finishing), seeing mario being adventurer, losing lifes, and trying again, to make sure I actually finish the game by defeating bowser i was happy i guess you can say i felt hope because i never gave up i was able to finish it, for the first time I always thought mario was heroic, brave, selfless, the coolest man I ever seen, rescue the princess even though he know the danger of it, I never seen a hero like that before, for a small man he really can do anything, so In my life i want to be a mario fan because of how cool mario really is but the internet does not think mario was cool at all (the anti mario thing) i was sad thinking I was the only person thinking mario was the best (and i still do), my parents bought me the ds for new super mario bros, mario kart ds, then the 3ds super mario 3d land, mario kart 7, for the wiiu super mario 3d land, super smash bros for the wiiu, mario kart 8, all those games I still choose mario more then anyone else, my parents bought me a Nintendo switch for my birthday present and the game with it is mario odyssey, I was smiling, happy, and jumping around, cause while playing mario odyssey, my favorite character was doing heroic stuff helping people, bringing joy to everyone around him, solving a crisis to different kingdom, then to rescue princess peach, by the end of the game i always knew mario was a hero, mario kart 8 deluxe arrived i always choose mario, super smash bros ultimate i always make sure mario is one of my mains, then begging my dad to buy super mario 3d all star finish all of them have great memories, super mario 3d world + bowser fury show how selfless mario really is, so I guess mario to me is what spiderman is to spiderman fans, (or superman to superman fans) he will always be my all time favorite character, some people dont like him for being "simple" but that simple nature is what made mario special to me that why I LOVE MARIO

I think mario with flaws is better then no flaws At all

For my childhood i thought mario never have any flaws at all but the more i look into his character and his history i have to accept the fact mario is not perfect,

Like in donkey kong jr he hold donkey kong captivity

he hit yoshi in the head

he's very competitive with sports

teasing luigi like an older brother

Mario have a breaking point

And he still inlove with peach

but all that still doesn't change the fact mario is still the nicest person ever

Mario never finish his job as a plumber

Im not saying he's a fraud character I mean when is the last time he finish his job as a plumber, there time and time, he actually doing other hustle and side job, he became a pro tennis player, pro soccer player, pro basketball player, teacher, a racer, a referee for boxing, a golf player, Olympic team player, baseball player, he also saving the princess and mushroom kingdom, but we never see him doing his job as a plumber like at all, he have enough gold coin to not work at all
