My 1 1/2 year update

Haven’t posted in a while due to waiting till all was done, but here’s some pics from when I got it to now with the main things I’ve done.

April 2025: bought the car a little rough cosmetic condition, but clean car overall with minor issues. 97k miles and I’m the second owner

Did my first oil change and realized the drain plug was stripped and they just jammed a bigger bolt in there. So first repair was an oil pan and afterwards was all other fluids and plugs to freshen everything up.

September 2025: Got an Invidia N1 3 inch cat-back to wake it up and it sounds amazing. I hated the burnt exhaust tip so I was able to polish it off and I’m way happier with it.

December 2025: had to address the one rust spot it has on the trunk lid. Weird spot for it but was able to repair that and get rid of the ugly chrome protruding strip and replace it with an 08 sedan flat strip and it color matched. Looks way way better.

January 2026: decided to add an oil temp and pressure gauge just to be safe and able to monitor it easily. Looks great and nice to have a nice visible gauge to make sure all is good

March 2026: first major cosmetic mod was some EVO 8 einkeis. They came with some old 235/45 tires so I ended up swapping the 215s off my stock rims since they were in great shape still with plenty tread left.

April 2026: Genesis coupe brembos to add some more braking power (honestly for the looks more lol) and to look more OEM+. The einkeis looked nice and clear the brakes so that’s my main reason for getting them.

Really was rocking the monster truck fitment for a while definitely looked terrible lmao

June 2026: paint was super scratched and was due for a paint correction. So a full 2 step correction with a ceramic coat and mad it made a difference. Looks wayy better and water beads like nothing. Should’ve done this way sooner.
Also replaced my old headlights with some fresh “crystal clear” ones with an amber turn signal housing and that made the car look 10x better as well.

August 2026: last thing on my bucket list was for the biggest change, coilovers. Went for fortune auto 500 and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Went with 8k front and 10k rear spring rate. Rides super good, and handles way better. It’s a little rough but very manageable and I have it on 10/24 clicks for stiffness. Might end up lowering it a bit more in the future though.

I couldn’t be more happier with how it is and how far it’s come. I know it’s not anything crazy but it definitely is that OEM+ “build” I’m going for. Sorry for the long post but just want to share my progress and what I’ve all done.

2011 si, a/c question

I’ve been noticing recently that my A/C is been acting up recently, couple things

While driving the a/c is cold and works great, but any time I’m in slow moving traffic or a stop it starts blowing warm. Fans are turning on no issues there.

Also I notice my ac compressor turns on and off every probably 10 seconds. Not sure if that’s normal or not

Any advice I appreciate

Do I need an axle?

I was putting my control arm on and I stupidly pulled the axle too far and it came out i believe in the boot itself. Am I able to pop it back in or do I need a new one?

I guess from now on I’m doing all my own stuff. Bad luck with this car

Sorry for rant and I also have severe ocd and ADHD and everything needs to be perfect on my cars🫠 This car has been to 2 places from when I bought it

  1. Dealership I bought it from and they backed the bumper into a concrete post, I watched them do it and they never said anything to me. I had to point it out. Took a moth to fight them on giving me money to fix it.
  2. Shop for valve adjustment (I should’ve done myself but wasn’t sure how difficult it was. After looking into it it’s not too bad. And this shop somehow cracked my windshield when taking the wiper arm off. How? Still clueless. They said the impact while taking the arm bolt is what cracked it. But that’s strange and not sure if that’s true.

I’m so aggravated cause now gotta go through a process to get the windsheld (which I just tinted and it’s the original glass) replaced and I really want an OEM glass but I doubt I’d be able to get one.

If I can’t get one then what’s the best brand glass to get? I don’t want some crappy windshield for my otherwise somewhat clean car. 2011 Si sedan

If OE windshield isn’t available, best aftermarket brand?

I’m already aggravated with this. Brought my car to a shop for some work and they cracked my windshield, need a new one. Trying to get an OE windshield but if it’s not available, what’s the best aftermarket brand to get?

TPMS issue

This has been a few times now. I’m not too sure what to do exactly.

2020 accord 2.0T. Have gotten tire pressure low warning and checked pressures. They were all slightly below 33 nothing alarming though. So I put a tad bit over 33 and drove around and the light doesn’t go off. Not sure exactly what I’m doing wrong last time a calibrated the sensors was right at 33 PSI so not sure why it’s doing it.

This has happened a few times spread apart and I’m still lost. Should I calibrate the sensors at 31-32? Just hate seeing that light lol

Are IS500 brake calipers, pads, rotors the same as the 350s?

I know they are painted but I’m guessing it’s the same? I found some just wanna know if I can swap it directly onto my 350

Air mix motor/blend door actuator type writer noise

My accord is making a typewriter noise on both the driver and passenger side footwell. Im aware that it is the air mix motor/blend door actuator that is failing and making that noise. I want to replace them.

Is it an easily DIYABLE process?

What is the part numbers of them since I can’t seem to find exactly the ones I’m looking for.

2020 2.0t sport, need tires. What size?

I’m between a 245 and 255 conti extreme contact DWS. Is it worth going to a 255? I hate the stretched stock look and want to get something that has a bit of meat

Spring rates for coils

I’m going to be getting fortune auto 500 for my FA5, it is primarily used for a weekend fun car but I will take it to work often as I love driving it. But I do have a daily.

I like to have some fun on back roads and take some corners, I’m thinking currently doing either 8k front and 10k rear or 6k front and 8k rear.

Just curious if anyone has those spring rates on their setup what your opinions are on it. Thank you!

Has anyone installed a J-pipe to reduce drone?

I have a 2011 si with a invidia n1 exhaust. Sounds great and I love it. Only thing I don’t like is the amount of drone. I’ve heard of people doing a j pipe to reduce drone but am curious of how that works and where to put it. If anyone has any info on it I’d appreciate it much!

Planning on doing cmc replacement. Have a few questions

Planning on using this kit for my replacement. Is this a good one to get? Or is there a better one around. Just don’t wanna destroy second gear synced with the delay valve.

Also should I switch to synchromesh? I got Honda mtf and it’s fine but 3rd gear can be a little clunky getting into sometimes but usually at normal driving and not during heavy acceleration. I have stock shifter with acuity bushings and cable bushings.

Otherwise it’s a stock 2011 si with 100k miles and it is a dream. Only thing I wanna change is that my clutch release point is right when you let off the pedal. I’m guessing I’ll have do do some adjustments when I something done replacing it anyways.

ANZO headlight adjustment?

I picked up these ANZO headlights for my 11 sedan and they look awesome and fit great, my one question is does this screw adjust the beam side to side? My drivers beam is pointing to the right a bit and I want to move it over but I can’t access the adjustment(at least from what I saw) unless I take the bumper off again. Just curious if this is since the website doesn’t say what that one does only the height adjustment. Thank you!
