How big of an upgrade would going from a Samsung Odyssey Plus to a PSVR2 be if I mostly play space/mech sims?

I've had a Samsung Odyssey Plus for quite a while and I'm perfectly happy with it and it provides some really great visuals still. However, I'm wondering how much better things have gotten with the contemporary headsets and people are saying that the PSVR2 is the natural evolution of the Odyssey Plus. Is the headset that much better? Or is it just a minor improvement? Is it plug n play or do I have to set up a bunch of extra stuff to get it working?

I don't really care much about the regular VR experience as I'm just playing MechWarrior with a HOTAS these days. I might occassionally use the headset for Half Life Alyx or some other neat little VR game. But I mostly just sit still playing "cockpit games". I also have a PS5 and a few games there but it's not that important to me.

I just got this amazing statue of Meve from Thronebreaker

Incredible work by La Mazmorra Customs on one of the most under-appreciated characters in the Witcher universe. I really enjoyed Thronebreaker and I thought Meve was super cool and deserved a cool statue, so I commissioned La Mazmorra to sculpt and print and paint the character.

Has anyone tried using the VKB Gladiator joystick for Mechwarrior 5 Mercs and Clans? How compatible and useful is it? Or are there better joysticks out there?

my Saitek x-52 pro joystick is getting long in the tooth from wear and tear after over a decade of use and I heard some good things about this one (and I can pair it with my Saitek X-52 Pro Throttle). Has anyone tried playing Mercs or Clans with this one? Or are there better joysticks out there you'd recommend?

The procedural mission generator in MW5: Mercenaries naturally fits the Mercenary management sim of the Inner Sphere to take on new contracts, salvage mechs, repair stuff, and so on.

Given the way that the Clans work in the lore, how could a procedural mission generator work within such constraints? New trials of positions until you reach ilKhan? Randomly generated trials by combat from ambitious clan warriors? Randomly generated missions against other Clans and even Inner Sphere? I'm genuinely curious in what Clans experiences would fit with a procedural mission generator like we had in Mercs.

For creative and budgetary reasons, a lot of the in-game cutscenes in Clans have the music turned off by default. To me, this makes them come across as pretty flat and make the game seem low budget. And it is jarring in contrast to the well-produced pre-rendered cinematics that have proper audio mixing and music added.

So I made a mod that enables the music that's playing in the missions as well as fixing music bugs such as Flushing the Nest having no music and the Turtle Bay Moon mission having the same music as the main menu. Here is the example of the Trial of Position where the vanilla has no music and comes across very flat and then my mod that lets the music keep playing.

This goes across all in-mission cutscenes where whenever a cutscene takes place (e.g. the one with Rik in the mech in Ghost Bear Flash Storm is also strangely silent).
