What should I do next regarding credit card chargeback dispute?
I purchased a phone from a shop two months ago and now that phone has been blacklisted by the carrier and they are unwilling to remove it. I since opened a chargeback dispute with my bank as the shop said they couldn't refund as it's past their 30 day policy for returns. The shop said they are willing to exchange for equivalent value, but the phone might not be brand new, open box like the one I purchased.
In case I can't find another phone from them which I like, should I continue the chargeback process or take the exchange? I heard the bank wants me to work it out with the vendor first, and the vendor has offered me this proposition, but am I forced to take the exchange?
