Recently found out a few people I like have overlap with me in a different system (Kitchener) and it’s made me feel more inspired. Sandra Hüller isn’t one of them (lol) but I wouldn’t be shocked if we share essences. She reminds me of Cate Blanchett (someone confirmed we share at least 4) and Sandra is someone who has a style I love.

Idk which style roots she has but she’s made me want to use 🗻 as a base to build the other roots off of. Sandra might not have 🗻 herself, I just don’t know, but she’s made me excited to dress for it.

Know I don’t come across as effortlessly cool as she does but hoping the 🌱 elements (draping from the trousers pleats, cotton and flat practical shoes) add a touch. Can’t see it but I’m wearing a sparkly blue and grey eye look for 🌙 and the opal, feather necklace I put in that category as well. I used kaleidos ‘sea sparkle’, Marc Jacobs ‘out late’ and a mix of ‘mist’ and ‘gloom’ from Denona on my eyes which matches to the outfit. The colours are from my understated and conservative pages in my Kitchener palette which to me feel the most Sandra. It’s less of a statement and more sophisticated. Not saying it’s perfect because the fit isn’t but I really like this outfit.

Have had this top a while and was planning to wear it with other items but was in a rush and didn’t care enough to find something else. It’s celestial (🌙) and the fit is decent enough. The rest of the outfit is fine but eh tbh the top is all I cared about wearing. I ran out of time to go through my wardrobe and put together something I love. There’s nothing bad jumping out. The colours and beading are 🌙, thrown on nature 🌱 and basic tailoring 🗻. It’s a perfectly fine outfit for rushing around in. Oh and have a bonus frog.

Makes me sad how cruel people are about her condition and appearance. She has great 🌙 style. Leather and studs look so cool on her imho. She’s someone who uses the root to its fullest. I’m not conventionally attractive and seeing people make roots look amazing on them even though they’re not near perfect looking celebrities makes me want to try more things too.

Slightly off topic, used to wear blue a lot then panicked it didn’t suit me. For a long time I was told I’m in the autumn family due to my warm eyes and brown hair. Got analysed and was told I’m actually cool and was recommended many blues. My favourite is probably pigeon blue (not pictured lol but wanted to randomly share that) and it got me thinking about how it works with my roots. You need to pick which system to follow as there’s still different staring points and perspectives on what makes a colour harmonious. I went with the PSC approach (Joan Songer) which focuses on individual colours and colour psychology. Even though the ones picked out for me aren’t typically associated with my roots I do believe them being harmonious with me takes care of it. I don’t need to go against my colouring to keep my roots. Tbc I’ve not tested the blue in the pictures with my palette but I believe it’s a match. The colours that are harmonious work as an extension of me so imho aren’t there to make a separate statement. If they existed in a vacuum then yes, I guess they would be but seen as they’re inherently tied to me they’re working differently. I’m wearing them exactly because they go with me. It’s not as though I picked them because they’re just what I’m visually drawn to. See people asking about colours and roots quite a lot so sharing my perspective.

Pleasantly surprised this shirt fits as well as it does without alterations. It’s by no means perfect but I needed a win today and here to celebrate it. This is my new favourite.

Please no advice regarding bras. I can’t afford a reduction/ removal rn and don’t enjoy dressing the area or having it discussed and analysed.

Stayed monochromatic to keep everything organised (🗻) and fit with my Kitchener colour results. Wanted to go soft and hazy (ethereal side of 🌙) with the blues and fabric. The shirt is faux suede (🌱) and the star of the show. I can wear it done up but wanted to relax (🌱) the outfit a tad as wearing head to toe blue might’ve become too much of a statement if I wasn’t careful. Wearing matching periwinkle eyeshadow but it didn’t show up well. Have some sparkle (🌙) on as well but the eyeshadow is at a minimum. I don’t usually wear any makeup, not comfortable going bold. In person I looked surprisingly put together (🗻), much more than I usually do. The top and trousers are very similar weights and due to the shirts softness it didn’t visually stand out for being heavier. Wish the pictures did it justice because it looks lovely irl.

The outfit still has 🗻 (paired with the 🌱) and nods to 🌙. Had a long day today and wanted to focus mainly on comfort and practicality. Can’t see but I’m wearing sparkly eyeshadow to give some 🌙 so there’s at least one metallic element.

I’ve noticed if I don’t try to do 🪨 I can achieve the vibe well. As soon as I try to it falls apart and the outfit ironically looks like I’m trying too hard. Somehow it goes into the complete opposite vibe very quickly.

Also the trousers are slightly too big for me and needed to be pulled up. Got them when I was misjudging my size. This isn’t my favourite ever outfit but I enjoyed wearing it and would do again.

Decided to go a little bolder today because I figured it’s too hot to care. Not got the energy to feel insecure in this weather. The metallic, shifting fabrics are 🌙. Floral design in the metallic = 🌱 and tailored trousers = 🗻. The pinstripes are a red which matches well to the top half but hard to see in the pictures. The fit is slightly loose to help with draping and 🌱. There’s added intensity (🌙) in the colours. I like it. It reads as more formal (🗻) in the daytime, if I wore this at night it’d lean more casual (🌱) and the scales would tip. Seen as style roots are context important, today this outfit reads a bit more 🗻 than 🌱 because of the time of day I wore it.

Just showing how metallic kept 🌙 in this outfit despite there being no deep colours. The trousers aren’t plaid (🌙) but the vertical stripes follow a bit of the general pattern which imho adds a faint touch of 🌙 too.

Used the ‘fashion advice’ flair as in the guide it seemed the best fit for my question. Tbc I’m not after general styling advice. I’m aware my style isn’t going to be popular on this sub which is fine but I’m happy with it so not going to change. I’m still trying to find new ways to use my Kitchener results and my dominant essence (paired with one of my stronger ones) doesn’t seem to be a popular aesthetic in these spaces. That’s okay. It makes sense some aesthetics will be more popular than others. Not asking for help using my results but just explaining my taste is quite different to a lot of people here and don’t wish to waste others time.

I’ve a condition which affects my muscle tone, skeleton and proportions. Last year I enjoyed wearing sleeveless tops but this year I’m not sure if my lack of tone is making them look off and not giving the look I enjoy? I like the idea of them adding some dynamic energy in but feel my body is too soft (I do exercise as much as possible but limited) and instead sleeveless is making me look weaker?

This is my last question for a while. I’ve had a few recently as they’ve been the most important ones to how I currently dress. It’s warm where I live and would rather know now if I should skip these instead of wearing them until autumn if they’re not giving the look I intend. Does sleeveless add some dynamic energy in or is it giving the opposite on me?

Also, please no comments on my bust or recommending bras. If you don’t like my bust I’d rather not know. I’ve zero intention of manipulating the area to look more visually pleasing to you. I don’t enjoy focusing on or dressing for the area. Thank you.

Tbc not for socialising or even work. I’ve worn this for doing basic tasks that I need to pop out for. If the shoulder seams hit at the right spot I doubt I’d wear this shirt as much as I do. I believe it being too low helps relax it for daytime wear? When an item has unusual or eye catching fabric an imperfect, slouchy style makes me less uncomfortable in it. Does anyone else find the same? Some intentional imperfections help me tbh.

I used ‘fashion advice’ because it seemed the most appropriate based on the flair guide, not looking for actual shopping advice as I won’t be getting new clothes for a while.

Please no comments suggesting bras or analysing my bust. I’ve 0% intention of manipulating my chest to fake it looks better than it does for anyone. I don’t enjoy dressing the area and I don’t enjoy focusing on it. There’s no joy for me to get from visually improving the area for strangers. It’s not for me. I don’t give consent to strangers to discuss my body parts. Thank you.

Today I wore matching velvet (🗻/🌙) trousers and a linen (🌱) waistcoat in ‘midnight navy’ (🌙). They’re the exact same colour in different fabrics. I like that they’re both smooth but the velvet is noticeably more soft. The shirt is silk (🗻) with a suede (🌱) finish.

I’ve been exploring medium (shape) in body matrix. When it comes to getting the correct fit, it’s very hard to find. You can see in the pictures there’s excess fabric when I wear items cut for curve. If you ignore my chest, you can see I’m straight. Obviously I still need extra room in places because I’m not thin and parts of my body require more. Hard to find structured (🗻) items made for me. Wearing minimisers to try and at least help the issue but there’s only so much they can do and I dislike shopping for that area (please, please, please, please do not recommend fittings or different bras). I don’t want to make my chest look aesthetically better, I actually would resent that. It’d be upsetting to make my chest look better. I know that’s confusing to many but there’s a big difference between wanting your body to look aesthetically better and wanting clothing to fit. They aren’t necessarily the same goal.

I prefer straight however many prefer rounded shapes and medium is a compromise lol. Think it makes the most sense. Stretchy fabrics are the easy solution however I do want some structure, it looks smart and 🗻. Plus I don’t like tight clothing on me. Kitchener recommended I wear narrow, fitted silhouettes and I’ve been enjoying them. Problem with stretchy material is it clings more ime. It creates a different aesthetic than a narrow, structured fabric does. There’s still a bit of separation when it’s structured. Not asking for tips tbc as there’s a tailor I can bring things to. It’s inconvenient. I can’t buy things off the rack and expect them to fit. Wanted to rant because I expected a better fit with this waistcoat. Must’ve remembered wrong how it looked on before.

In a rush, I put on jeans in an attempt to ground (🌱) this outfit. It didn’t work (not asking for tips tbc). Felt insecure wearing all light colours today which is why I did, plus had to leave.

This outfit would’ve looked a lot better with my matching periwinkle suit trousers (🗻). If I had worn them I could’ve tucked in the shirt so the tie ends at that point. There are too many end points creating too much movement. Thankfully they’re all travelling in the same direction but it’s breaking the outfit up more than it should. Once I took the tie off it immediately improved.

This was a good lesson for me that 🌱 doesn’t always ground an outfit if the outfit doesn’t call for it. Taking away some 🗻 (tie) did help but it would’ve been even better if I’d committed to the full look and gone with different trousers.

Putting in 🌱 without a clear plan made the overall effect disjointed and stand out more instead of less. One of my many matching jackets could’ve also calmed things but too hot today to wear one. That would’ve at least hidden the short sleeves and taken away one break and created more weight running down. When I wear the shirt (which I see as a good mix of all my roots) again I’ll try to wear it layered. Short sleeves are very hit and miss with my outfits and need to have a purpose or the same issue happens.

My main takeaway is the lines needed to be more uniformed as well as there needing to be consistent weight going down. Just throwing in more 🌱 doesn’t solve these problems and automatically grounds everything. I’m long in body matrix and have no HS in Kitchener so it’s a problem I’ve had in other systems too.
