I have really bad social anxiety (plus am audhd with c-ptsd) and a lot of my OCD centers around that fear of other people/social repercussions/fear of 'inviting abuse'...
I signed up to volunteer at our local shelter for an upcoming fundraiser and adoption festival thingy. Was added to a whatsapp chat with like twenty people I'd never met but who all appear to know each other. I made a few suggestions about ways to raise money or get a few more donations for e.g. a tombola, but nobody really paid attention to what I said and now I'm spiralling and trying really hard not to overanalyze every single word I said to look for 'mistakes that could invite abuse'. Aaaaaah.
BUT the bravery stands. I had self-isolated for like five years, then recently got on a low first dose of anxiety meds and now I did THAT. That's something to be proud of. (Inner me is trying reeeeally hard not to seek reassurance in this post, lol).
What I did was brave though. No matter what else. It was brave. And I should be proud of myself.
(Don't worry, Americans and Canadians. You didn't miss it. This was in the EU.)
First a solar eclipse (first one I've ever seen!) and then tonight the meteor shower! I'll probably bring Zack (Zodihop) along for that one too.
I brought the plushies with me, even fave cuddle buddy (Woody), and I'm super glad I didn't chicken out, even when a little into the event a few other people unexpectedly showed up. I was anxious about it though, which pulled my attention away from the eclipse, but I'm still glad I brought them along.

I finally pulled the trigger and upgraded my 2018 Huawai 'affordable option phone' to a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, which I chose specifically for its camera. The aesthetic loving chaos gremlin in my brain had *yearned* for years for a good camera.
Which means from now on you'll probably get a lot of these kinds of photos βΊοΈπ

Need some second opinions, please :) It would be twelve bucks, shipping included. I've been eyeing this mug for a few weeks but still haven't pulled the trigger. What are we thinking? Is this one a yay or a nay?
They're were only four bucks more than a regular monstera of that size! They didn't have many, but I got there early enough to still snatch one up βΊοΈ I believe there's actually two or three in the pot that I got π₯³
Hi all, I'm not from the US, so I'm unfamiliar with Douglas plushies, but I know that there's quite a hype around them in the US! I found out that a stockist in my country will actually get a shipment of Douglas plushies and amongst them is this gorgeous australian shepherd girl. I've wanted an austrlian shepherd plish for a while and am now considering her! But due to the import costs her price is quite steep.
Is she worth it? What would you say her fur feels like? Is it soft and silky or more wiry, like the faux fur around a winter jacket's hood? Is she more firm or squishy? Similar questions about the kitty in the second pic, as I'm also considering her.
Thank you in advance! β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
As the title says. For the past few months I've been getting flashes of 'memories' from a certain time when I must've been around four or five. I keep hearing about 'false memories' and would like to know how to tell if those flashes I keep seeing are real resurfacing memories or something my mind just fabricated?
They feel very real but I don't really want them to be, so part of me is hoping to find a reason to dismiss all of it. It just keeps coming up, relentlessly. More and more details about the same time period and I want it to not be true.
How can I tell if they might be false memories or if these flashes are actually real resurfacing memories? Is there some sort of rule of thumb or a vague general consensus on this? Personal experiences?
Second image is a screenshot from two days ago. I sent jc an email because the moon was suddenly back in stock and I wanted to know if this is the last remaining stock they might've found somewhere and if once it's sold out it would get back to being retired. Apparently not. This whole thing is so confusing. But yay, medium moon is back (all other sizes remain retired though).
There's probably a lot more, these are just the ones I thought to check up on ππ
