Been out of the Monstera scene for 1.5 years — what did I miss?
Hey everyone!
I’m a pretty experienced Monstera collector, but I haven’t bought any new plants in about 1.5 years. I recently walked into a specialty plant shop and was shocked to see that the plants that used to be considered “rare” when I was actively collecting (Thai Constellation, Albo Variegata, etc.) now seem pretty common. 😄
Meanwhile, there are apparently like 6–7 new “holy grail” Monsteras on the market now. I saw ones called Cream Cheese and Bulbasaur, and they immediately caught my attention.
Is there any good collection, guide, website, or post somewhere that keeps track of these newer rare Monstera varieties/clones so I can catch up a bit with the current market? I’d love to see what’s considered rare or trendy these days.
Thanks in advance! 🌱
