Looking for accountability buddies, friends & a small self-improvement community

Hey everyone!

I'm 29M, and from August until my 30th birthday in December, I've decided to give these next few months everything I've got. I want to become the best version of myself—physically, mentally, professionally, and creatively.

I realized it's a lot easier (and a lot more enjoyable) when you're not doing it alone.

What I'm working on:

• Getting fitter and stronger

• Playing badminton regularly

• Going for walks or runs

• Reading more books (currently into sci-fi, fantasy, thrillers, and thought-provoking fiction)

• Upskilling in Product, Business Analysis, AI, and tech

• Building better habits and staying consistent

• Spending less time doomscrolling and more time on meaningful hobbies

If you're in Bangalore (India), it'd be great to meet up for badminton, walks, runs, coffee, bookstores, or just to hang out.

If you're anywhere else, that's completely fine too. I'd love to connect over Discord, calls, or whichever app you're comfortable with. Sometimes all we need is someone to check in with, celebrate wins, or remind us why we started.

I'd also love to build a small online community where we can:

• Have a casual book club and read together

• Watch movies or series together and discuss them afterward

• Share recommendations, ideas, lessons, and things we've learned

• Keep each other accountable for our goals

• Help one another start passion projects, whether that's an Instagram page, YouTube channel, writing, fitness, photography, or any hobby we've been putting off

• Simply have people who genuinely want to see each other grow

A little about me:

\-> I enjoy books, movies, badminton, gym, story-driven games, music, technology, and learning new things

\-> I reduced 11kg weight from 92kg to 81kg between March and July

\-> I am trying to train myself for running a marathon. Till now I have just once participated in 5k community run hosted by Cadance Run Club

\-> Easygoing, curious, and always up for meaningful conversations about life, goals, and ideas

This isn't just about finding an accountability partner. It's about finding good people who want to grow together, have meaningful conversations, build healthier habits, support each other's goals, and maybe even become long-term friends.

If this resonates with you, feel free to comment or send me a DM. Whether you're in Bangalore or on the other side of the world, you're welcome.

Let's make these next few months count. By the time December arrives, hopefully we'll all look back and be proud of how far we've come.

-> I enjoy books, movies, badminton, gym, story-driven games, music, technology, and learning new things

-> I reduced 11kg weight from 92kg to 81kg between March and July

-> I am trying to train myself for running a marathon. Till now I have just once participated in 5k community run hosted by Cadance Run Club

-> Easygoing, curious, and always up for meaningful conversations about life, goals, and ideas

Looking for accountability buddies, friends & a small self-improvement community (Bangalore or anywhere!)

29M How confusing can Indian girls be…!?

So I am a 29-year-old male and I am working. I started talking to this girl 8-9 months back. Good looking, well read, charming. The first two months she is amazing love bombing me, pampering me, all the shabang. We even went on a trip together. She almost convinced me to move to her city. She even got me convinced that she is very serious and we are going to marry. We talk to our parents, everything is happening.

Then suddenly her parents didn't agree to her because of the region I belong and her brother tells her you both are of very different energies and frequencies, which mind you she knew since day 1 and she said that she is glad the universe made us meet, I was everything she prayed for etc.

So now there is me, who didn’t even ask for marriage in the first place, sitting in my room questioning everything and watching my self-esteem take a massive hit. And my parents who were happy that I have found someone worthy to spend my whole life with.

Why yaar, why?

If you were never sure about me and know that you can never take a stand for your partner infront of your family then why make future plans, involve parents, and make me believe this was headed somewhere serious?

And then people say good men are nowhere to be found..!

People who've benefited from therapy in Bangalore — who would you recommend?

If therapy has genuinely helped you, which therapist or clinic in Bangalore made the biggest difference and why?

Looking for recommendations based on real experiences rather than Google reviews.

Please share:

Therapist/clinic name

Fees

Online/offline

What they helped you with

Whether you'd recommend them today

I'm not necessarily looking for the cheapest option—I'm more interested in finding someone genuinely good, empathetic, and professional.

Also, if you've had experiences with places like Amaha, NIMHANS, Parivarthan, The Alternative Story, MindPeers, or other reputed providers, I'd love to hear your honest feedback as well.

Would really appreciate honest suggestions and any red flags to avoid. 🙏

Badminton partner needed (29M | Beginner) 🏸

Hey! I’m a beginner looking to get into badminton and have some fun while improving.

Looking for someone who:

\- Is okay playing with a beginner

\- Can rally and doesn’t mind a bit of learning along the way

\- Is up for chill, fun games (not super competitive in the beginning)

I work a 12 PM – 9 PM shift, so I’m mostly available on weekends and holidays, but open to coordinating based on mutual availability.

Location: Marathahalli (Orchid Sports Academy or nearby courts)

I’m consistent with fitness and serious about improving—just need a good partner/group to play regularly.

If you’re interested, drop a comment or DM!

Also open to forming a small group if more people are in the same boat.
