Being a beginner, planning to go on longer trips and seeing all these terrible injuries posted here, I took the plunge and invested in some proper gear.
It's a Touratech Compañero Rambler PRO made by Revit. Jacket plus pants and I'm amazed by the quality and features it provides.
Lots of very clever vents, pockets, 3 times laminated Gore-Tex + Kevlar, removable mid-layer even an integrated kidney belt and detachable storm-collar.
And most importantly: it's AAA-rated and has Level 2 protectors.
Not cheap but really great stuff and you can literally feel the money wearing it.

Wollte mal fragen ob jemand Erfahrungen hat mit dem Polieren von Schwarz-Chrom hat? Leider wird das ja heute nirgends mehr gemacht. Es gibt meiner Kenntnis nach keinen einzigen Galvanikbetrieb mehr (zumindest in DE) der schwarz verchromt.
Wäre es normales Chrom, würde ich mit Wenol oder Nevr-Dull mal ran tasten.
Allerdings hab ich Angst das sich das ganze mit Schwarzchrom etwas anders verhält? Kann da jemand was zu sagen? Würde gern diese leichten Aufblühungen versuchen wegzupolieren.

In dem kurzen Clip folgende Situtation: der Blaue Transporter bremst plötzlich stark ab und fährt mit Warnblinkanlage auf den Standstreifen. Das weiße Auto folgt, bremst und macht den Anschein ebenfalls mit Warnblinkanlage von der Mittelspur ran zu fahren. Warum zu Teufel soll ich mich so weit wie möglich rechts halten, wo da grad offensichtlich eine Gefahrenstelle entsteht??

Hey guys, I was offered to buy this XS850 Midnight Special for 2200€ (~$2500).
I was told the engine was overhauled by Yamaha at the turn of the millennium. Now this bike has been sitting in a garage since some 25 years. It's not in the best cosmetic conditions but technically I'm told all is fine. These bikes don't seem to have a huge collectors value not are people crazy about vintage Yamaha bike it seems. To be the price seems a bit steep, given the overall condition of this bike. What do you think?

I know it's pretty much apples and oranges. One being an in-line-four-cylinder whilst the other being just a twin. But still I'd like to read some experiences, opinions..etc
I'm much into these vintage Honda bikes but can't really decide.
I'm not looking for a daily to commute or ran errands with. More I'm looking into a bike for tours and fun trips.

Not sure if a post like this is allowed, but any of you have ever had this happen before? I guess next time I should keep the little lid on top closed

Just a little more information for the people who are curious. Obviously I’m not touching the newly created mansion, and letting the new owner do its thing hahah.

Some were also wondering where this was taken, I live in the Netherlands. I think it’s a “blue tit” (but definitely correct me if I’m wrong).
