Accademia del Cinema

Ciao!

Grazie!!

Best milk brand for iced and hot coffee

so I want to switch back to regular milk after drinking oat milk with my coffee for god knows how long. I’m looking for barista milk but the only options that pop up for me were non dairy options (which is odd because I know there are dairy barista milks). so it seems like ill just stick with regular processed milk. Any specific brands?

thanks🩷

Ciao tutti!

Ho (20F) già fatto esperienza con l'italiano e a giugno sono stata a Recanati per un mese. Cerco un partner con cui conversare per mantenere viva la lingua e allenare la mente!

I think I got fake Pumas but I'm not sure

I bought them at Nordstrom Rack. After buying them I tried to find an exact pair online but I couldn't so it lead me to think that they were fake so I just wanted to make sure.

Thank you!

EDIT: thank yall so much for clarifying that I got a tacklette and not the ballet flats! Thank y‘all so much!🩷🩷

I bought it yesterday and used it and oh my god it left my skin so soft. I tried finding it but the only places were eBay and idk how long they’ve had the soap so it could be old. I found the website and looked it up but it’s not even there! where can I find this besides ebay?

thank you🩷

How the hell do I get my ADT alarm to stop beeping

literally standing in the kitchen as I’m typing this just so I can reach over and turn it off but it doesn’t work because thirty seconds later it goes off again. it says alarm/fire but there is literally no fire around. We‘re thinking it was because of the heat and humidity from outside but idk. My dad had this alarm for my whole entire life ( I’m 20) so we’re also thinking it’s just because it’s old. But I’m not sure I just want it to stop ( now all of a sudden it’s quiet as I’m typing it)

EDIT: we gave up and just cut it entirely off

What Björk song do you relate to during a period of your life?

Positive or negative. For me, during high school I would listen to the song "Who is it" every single day on the way to school because I was convince that if I didn't listen to that song everyday something bad would've happened to me.

Language to learn that isn't French?

I'm (20F) a student studying film and I'm also studying Italian at my University. I know Italy played a big part in filmmaking and the international film industry and I really enjoy the language. I'm thinking about starting another language that would be helpful in the international film industry that isn't French?

Thank you!

Recs for comfortable flats?

Hi y'all! I'm just looking for comfortable rec for either tabis or ballet flats. Similar to these pumas. I walk a lot at uni and I'm also flat footed (but the idea of finding perfect shoes for flat feet are out of the question and I low-key don't care anymore lol), so I'm open to some recs!

Thank you!

edit: I am upvoting yall’s recommendations, just in case if yall were wondering. thank yall so much🩷🩷

Y'all's opinion on majoring in film vs going to film /artschool (AFI, Pratt, NYFA, etc)

Hello!

I (20F) am currently studying film at my uni. I've seen a lot of people mention how they didn't like going to a film school because they felt burnt out with film, but it got me thinking about opinions of majoring in film versus going to a film school. For me as someone doing film at a non art/film school I feel even more in love with film even though many around me are in completely different fields. I can be exposed to other perspectives. But idk, what are y'all's opinion?

Gap year for Masters?

I (20F) am in Uni (currently a junior) for anthropology and screen arts (aka film) and I do plan on going to get my masters. I want to get my masters internationally, which means I need to save money for things like housing, food, etc. The only reason why I want to do a gap year is to save money. However I am weary of taking a gap year because I might just end up slacking and not getting my masters. Any advice for gap year? Should I do it or not?

the vibe of "In alter parole"/In other words (more in desc.)

The feeling of moving to a different place and adopting a different culture while also holding on to their own personal culture. For more context about me, my state's flower is the magnolia.

Can't see financial award.

Hello,

on workday it says that I have a financial award and when I go to accept it, it's not there. I double checked both this year and last year (don't ask me why I checked last year's FA, I just felt the need to) and scrolled through every thing and accepted the ones that needed to be accepted, but I did not see the amount that I saw on the home page. What's up with this?

Thank you!
