Pluto is tripping today. I was watching earlier and Lucy moved to the country. I came back a little later and now she’s meeting bob hope 🤦‍♀️

The Nile was one of the most important rivers in human history. Ancient Egypt depended on it for thousands of years, and Greek and Roman writers knew about parts of it too.

What surprised me is that the source of the Nile wasn't identified by Europeans until 1862. I always assumed that following such an important river upstream would have been an obvious goal.

Was it mainly because the geography was too difficult, or were there political and cultural barriers that made exploration unlikely? Did earlier explorers get close but fail, or was knowledge about the upper Nile simply lost over time?

How do you think this mystery lasted for so long?

By now many of us are familiar with the “verify your identity” thing. It happened to me a couple weeks ago trying to list an item, so I didn’t do anything for like two weeks to see if that would get me off the radar. Today, I took a chance and relisted several items. They all went through and posted except for one that I got that pop-up to verify my identity. And it wasn’t even the most expensive listing. So it’s like randomly giving that message I guess?

Rewatched the ep where the guys hosted the TG Australia crew. At the end they did a race, and the Aussies had a 15 second head start. I’m no racing expert at all, but it was just insane to me (in a good way) that the Stig was still able to win the race with that much of a gap. Steve Pizzati is no amateur, but I guess Phil Keen is on a whole other level.

A little late to the game but I’ve been binging Evil Lives Here, and WHY do so many of these parents buy & gift their mentally disturbed children guns, often described as a “bonding experience” after they’ve already done some crazy ass shit??? FFS you delusional nut jobs, your child is dangerous!

I’m relatively new to my area, and wanting to dip my toes into storage units. The issue is, I don’t know anyone well enough yet to ask to help me load it up and all of that. Are there any solo flippers here that have any suggestions? Are we pretty limited to small, lightweight units? Or do you buy what you want and just hire movers?
