Why does it seem like "vote blue no matter who" applies to everybody except for progressives?

I live in Wisconsin, and as a David Crowley voter, I was told the past few weeks to vote blue no matter who, and that we should get behind whoever wins the nomination. Sounds good to me! MAGA is who I have the biggest issue with and would have voted for whoever the democrat nominee ended up being, and thought progressives would do the same.

However, I'm seeing a lot of comments from progressives saying they won't vote for him because of 1/2 issues. Many of them seem to not be willing to make any sort of compromise, even if they agree with 90% of Crowleys platform.

Why does it seem like they expect everybody else to vote against MAGA, and make compromises, but when they don't get exactly what they want, well then the Dems are no better then MAGA.

Are these trolls? Bots? A hypocritical minority?

The last poll for the Wi Democratic primaries (August 7th)

https://statenavigate.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/WIDEMPoll2.pdf

Two things to point out:

1. I don't know exactly how accurate this pollster is compared to the main ones (margin of error says +/- 2.3 points)

2. El-Sayed polls showed him winning by 10/15 points and it ended up being a very close race (won by 1 point)

changes since last week:

Francesca Hong 44% (-)

David Crowley 22% (+7)

Kelda Roys 11% (+7)

Joel Brennan 5% (+1)

Undecided 9% (-)

State Navigate surveyed 1,473 likely Democratic primary voters across Wisconsin from Aug. 3-6, 2026. This sample includes 539 respondents who previously responded to the State Navigate survey conducted July 23-26.

My 20th 10/10 album: Bluffer's guide to the flight deck by Flotation Toy Warning

Bluffer's guide to the flight deck by Flotation Toy Warning

I wanted to make a little appreciation post about this album I've recently fallen in love with. This is an album that will make you feel like you're floating in and out of dreams in the best way possible. I'm surprised its not more highly regarded and talked about... The only slight issue is the last song which has a few minutes of silence in between parts - so a bit quirky, but everything else is phenomenal

If you're into albums like Uchu Nippon Setegaya by Fishmans and Floating into the Night by Julee Cruise, you need to give this a listen

Also if you are familiar with this album and have a good recommendation of something I might also like, please feel free to let me know!

Hey guys, what’s some really good psychedelic country you would recommend to me?

I’m usually a country “hater“ but I’ve been loving the album No Other by Gene Clark, especially the songs No Other and Strength of Strings which I feel are definitely the most psychedelic on the album.

What are some recommendations for either albums or songs that you have for me?

Ranked: Countries Creating the Most New Millionaires

> Nearly one million people became new millionaires in 2025, averaging more than 2,680 every day.

>The United States accounted for nearly half of all new millionaires worldwide, adding more than 441,000 people.

>The UK ranked a distant second with just over 43,000 new millionaires, highlighting the scale of the U.S. lead.

>Although no single European country approached the U.S. total, six of the top 10 countries were in Europe. This points to broad-based wealth growth across several major economies rather than one dominant regional market.

>Japan and India each added more than 31,000 new millionaires, followed by South Korea with more than 20,000 and China with more than 14,000.

Why does it seem like companies have become more willing to hire BDRs into AE roles over the past year?

About a year ago I was switching jobs with 1.5 years of bdr experience. While I was looking and applying for jobs over two months (both BDR and AE positions), I only came across a few where a BDR would be okay experience for their AE role (Mostly the usual turn and burn places), but almost all others required closing experience

Now I ended up going with a different BDR position as it aligned with the industry I wanted to get into, and had much higher pay. The company is absolutely a dream to work for and I’ll probably get an AE chance soon

However for fun, I decided to look at some AE roles now and I came across a bunch where BDR experience was totally fine. Has something changed recently? Have companies recently decided people with solid BDR experience can make a good AE? It was not this common when looking a year ago

It’s tempting to apply to some of these even though I love my job

My top 10 dream pop masterpieces, what one is your favorite?

As someone who listens to a ton of music and has dream pop as their favorite genre, this is what I’ve found to be the all time best for my taste

limit 1 song per album, not an exact order but the first 5 are definitely my top 5

Should I buy a house next year?

About me: 23m, single, 100k/year income (remote), no debt

Rent is currently $1700/month, and I hate paying that. The idea I have is to move closer to family which is a lower cost of living area, and buy a house. The price I would pay for the house would be a mortgage that is near $1700-$2,000/month (including taxes, insurance, pmi, etc).

I would at least stay for a few years and rent a spare room to a friend while I'm living there so it would ended up being cheaper than renting. I understand that stuff comes up like maintenance or upgrades.

Now where it starts getting a little dicey, chances are I would want to move eventually and so the plan would be to then rent it out. Goal would be for the rent to cover the mortgage, but I don't mind paying a little extra once I move out since it'll be building equity. Another thing is I wouldn't mind having some property near my family for far future use.

I don't mind being a landlord.

Any major red flags with this idea? The biggest one I see is it might slow my investing into the market down for a couple years.

Where should I put my 6 month emergency found?

I have a 6 month emergency found of 20k just sitting in my checking and realized that's stupid so I want to put it somewhere, preferably through fidelity. These are the two options I saw through fidelity, SPAXX isn't FDIC insured, but I'm assuming relatively safe? Or should I be putting it somewhere else?

>Fidelity® Government Money Market Fund (SPAXX)
Your cash is invested in a mutual fund and earns daily dividends, which are paid to you monthly. As of July 8, 2026 the 7-day yield is 3.3%. Past performance is no guarantee of future results.

>FDIC-Insured Deposit Sweep Program (FDIC)
An Interest Bearing position that is eligible for FDIC insurance. As of July 8, 2026 the APY is 1.84%. Interest rates may change at any time.

Name a better summer album than these four (Difficulty level: HARD)

Gal Costa by Gal Costa: My undisputed summer album champion, every song just oozes sun and cocktails on the beach

Ucho Nippon Setegaya by Fishmans: One of my all time favorite albums with phenomenal summer vibes that you'll want to smoke a joint with as well, and my GOAT summer song "DAYDREAM" (P.S. the last three songs on this album are one of the greatest three song runs ever)

Boconada by Gustavo Cerati: This one for me definitely gives summer vibes, but more during sunset time, masterpiece

Brazilian Dorian Dream by Manfredo Fest: Although maybe not quite on the level of the other three mentioned (very hard to be), a phenomenal tropical jazz-fusion album that you'll want to listen to this summer

Give me your favorite summer album so I can enjoy it this summer!
