Looking to get into the IT industry. What do I do after getting CompTIA A+?

I didn't go to school for IT and have no relevant experience, but I want to switch careers. As a PC gamer I've become pretty familiar with PCs over time and I got my CompTIA A+ certification to show I have at least some base level proficiency.

Now what, though? Do I just apply for help desk jobs until I find one? Should I focus on remote work or look for something local, and if something local, where should I go to find local entry-level IT work?

Is there a purpose to fishing beyond pure collecting?

I'm enjoying fishing, I always love life skills like this in RPGs. But is there a purpose to it beyond just filling out the collection log?

Is there a reason to keep duplicate fish once you've consumed one to add it to your collection?

Are they used in the Horadric Cube at all?

What mods, if any, would you consider "essential" for a first time playthrough?

I grew up on Oblivion and it's my favorite game of all time. I tried to play Morrowind years ago but the combat really threw me off and I didn't end up getting far past Balmora before I gave up.

I want to try again and give it a fair shake, and I'm wondering if there are any mods veterans would consider essential. Whether it's bug fixes, balance adjustments, etc. My only stipulation is that I'd like to avoid anything that make it not feel vanilla, so probably no graphics mods, and no mods that make the combat 100% hit chance.

EDIT: Also, does the Steam version include all those smaller addons that used to come from Bethesda's website? If not, is there still a way to download them without using the GoG version?

I miss when WoW crossovers added actual items, not just shop cosmetics.

Remember in Diablo 3 when they added WoW's iconic Ashbringer as an actual legendary item with its own unique legendary trait?

I had hoped they would do this again in Diablo 4, as my Crusader in D3 always ran with the Ashbringer in one hand and a greatshield in the other. And while Paladins can't wield 2-handed weapons in one hand, I would still gladly do a 2-handed sword build with Ashbringer.

But no. Ashbringer is finally here and... it's a battle pass cosmetic. And not a free one either, you have to spend Platinum if you want to access it, even using the event currency.

SFX out of sync in cutscenes?

I’m nearing the end of the Vessel of Hatred campaign and every cutscene so far has the sound effects out of sync, while voiceover seems fine.

For example, when Urivar sets down his sword and mask after the boss battle, the sound of them hitting the floor is a few seconds late. Same with a previous cutscene where Neyrelle drops the Soulstone.

Is this a common issue? Is it fixable?

Things like the Player Avatar Rework were supposedly shelved years ago due to how complex the project was, and the POH rework was similarly shelved due to spaghetti code and tech debt.

So how is it that we're suddenly getting these things so rapidly after the announcement of the Road to Restoration? Were they actually working on this stuff and just lying so they could reveal it as part of this initiative? Was it never actually as complex as they thought?

Not trying to throw any stones with this post, I'm just genuinely curious how it's all now suddenly so possible when these things were previously shelved years ago.

I absolutely adore building settlements in Fallout 4/76 and outposts in Starfield (tho Starfield's feels much more lacking). I have 750+ hours in Fallout 4 and I've never even beat the main story once because I spend all my time gathering materials and building shit. But I do have a few pain points and things I'd like to see added:

MOVEMENT AND ROTATION GIZMOS

  • If you've ever seen World of Warcraft's housing system, or even seen anyone modeling something in Blender, you've probably seen the little movement and rotation gizmos that appear on items that give you extremely precise positioning control. The movement gizmo lets you move something along a single axis at a time (X, Y, or Z axis) to get items EXACTLY where you want them, and the rotation gizmo does the same thing for rotation, making it easy to pose items exactly how you want them. If you've ever tried to place items on shelves or place weapons on tables in Fallout 4 or Starfield, you know how frustratingly janky it is. These basic gizmos would solve that entirely.

BETTER CAMERA OPTIONS

  • One of Fallout 4's biggest shortcomings with its settlement builder was the lack of a free camera. If you wanted to build up high, you had to actually build platforms so you could get your character up there. That sucks. Starfield makes it a little better with their overhead camera, but that's a fixed angle and not very intuitive. The camera while building should essentially function the way movement does when using the no-clip command (TCL), where you're unaffected by gravity and can thus position the camera anywhere you like.

SNAP TO GRID AND ROTATION ANGLE

  • One of my biggest annoyances in Starfield right now is how difficult it is to line things up properly. If I want my crafting bench to be perfectly parallel with the wall, there's no option to do that. I just have to mess around with the rotation until it's close enough, and it rotates fast enough that that's easier said than done. Let us rotate things at 5 degree increments so we can make sure things are aligned properly.
  • Similarly, being able to snap items to a grid would help for lining things up. When I have multiple workbenches side by side I want them to be aligned in a perfect row, and that's again easier said than done.

MORE UNIQUE STORAGE CONTAINERS

  • One of my favorite parts about Elianora's well known house mods is that they often include custom containers. Instead of generic barrels and crates, she creates things like a basket filled with soul gems as a static object for storing items in. You can still place whatever you want in there, but it makes it easier to keep things organized when the containers look like the thing you're storing in them.

MORE CLUTTER DECORATIONS

  • Bottles. Plates. Crafting materials. Weapons. Food. Books. Give us static items we can place down to give our space a more lived-in look. Starfield begins to do this by letting you grab items you drop and place them, where they then become static. But it has a few issues: you can still grab the item by accident and have to re-place it, and items placed this way clip through the surface they're placed on after you come back.

GET RID OF CONTAINER STORAGE LIMITS

  • I understand why they added this to Fallout 76. It made players think more about what to keep and what to get rid of, and it also helped them sell their shitty subscription because it, like Elder Scrolls Online, gave you unlimited storage for crafting materials. Kinda scummy but whatever, that's online gaming in 2026. This system absolutely does not make sense for Starfield and I don't understand why they added it. It makes sense for your ship as it's a convenient container you have with you at all times and, realism-wise, weight matters for anything that needs to fly. But I never store anything at my base because containers are so absurdly limited in their weight, so I end up just giving my ship a ton of cargo and keeping everything there. This means I end up just ignoring base building because I'd rather focus on my ship.

There's probably a lot more I haven't listed here but these are all off the top of my head, or specific pain points I've been thinking about recently during my latest playtime of Starfield.
