Hello! I'm relatively new to fursuits (though I've been in the furry community for a little bit). I have pretty much always been fascinated by fursuits, but I never dove deeper into the hobby because people in my old friend group used to make fun of it. That’s exactly why they are my old friend group.. I was young back then and wasn't confident enough to just live my life! Now, I want to save up for a few months to finally get a fursuit (and yes, I know we're talking about thousands of dollars!!).
I have a few questions beforehand, and I would appreciate any kind of help!
Is it possible to wear glasses under a fursuit head? I can’t take them off, and I highly prefer not to wear contacts.
How hot does it get in there? I sweat easily, and where I live, it gets pretty hot during the summer.
Are furry conventions SFW? I am very sensitive when it comes to NSFW stuff. Do I always have to expect some kind of adult behavior there? (That is just what I've been told, and I really don't want to offend anyone!)
Are there any limitations when it comes to species? I have a few fursonas for digital media purposes, but I really want to create a completely new character for this. Are more common species like wolves, dogs, or cats considered "basic" or uninteresting by the community?
How did you choose your fursona's name and identity? Closely related to question 4: I have a nickname I go by online, which is also the name of my VTuber persona. I'm not sure if I want my fursona to be a completely different character, or if I should name them after my nickname too. It might be a bit much to have my VTuber persona and fursona share the same name! Did you choose something completely different from yourself, or is your fursona a representation of who you are? My VTuber is also an animal x human species so I think It would be cooler to make something different, right?

For me, my Lala is a mage from Ul'dah but they grew up in Limsa between Roes lol they're smh a smol pirate hehe
