Donating to Soccer

I have some old soccer gear that's still in good condition. I'm looking to donate it to maybe a highschool or club team to help out someone who may not be able to afford gear. Does anyone know who would be a good person to get in contact with for this? I know the schools are out for the summer so maybe a highschool aged club team:?

Thanks to this group

In my transition to Pathfinder, I've come to this group for advice a few times. Well, I just had my first combat with an actually well built character (warpriest), and it was great, and so I just wanted to pop in and say thanks for all your help! It is so much nicer having something functional in combat.

Need Help with Loft Living Room

Help me figure out my loft living room.

I can't buy new furniture, so this is mostly about shifting things around. I am open to getting rid of things or suggestions about things that I might happen to have elsewhere in my house.

Ignore the Amazon boxes. Those don't normally live there I'm just mid project with them.

The weird spidery lamp has to stay in that corner by the railing. It's connected to the lightswitch by the front door and is the only source of not daylight for both the loft and proper floor. The mirror is covering a hole in the wall I don't have the supplies or time to patch at the moment.

There aren't a ton of outlets, so clustering electronics together is useful, but there is at least one per wall and one on the floor by the desk.

The TV can't be centered on it's current wall because I'm worried about it blocking the vent and getting hit by lots of hot air in the winter.

The couch/TV set up has been working fairly well, but there's a lot of dead space behind the side tables that's kind of weird. If I push them back, then they aren't usable from the couch without twisting awkwardly. The couch is one of the types with recliners, hence no coffee table.

I'd also like to make the desk area feel a bit cozier. It feels sorta exposed where it is. The giant opening with a drop off just hasn't been helping the coziness factor at all. Then there's the weird sorta diagonal railing which just creates a lot of dead space in any arrangement I've come up with.

Struggling with Loft Layout

This loft effectively functions as my living room. I'm always a little unsatisfied with it. I'd love to make it feel cozier.

Buying new furniture isn't an option (for now), this is more about what can go where. Pictures taken from each corner of the loft. I'd love to find a way to make my desk feel a bit more cozy and comfy to work in.

Some restrictions: there's a big hole behind the mirror I can't patch. The only vent in the space is next to the TV, which prevents centering the TV. It's a loft. The lamp has to stay in the corner to provide illumination to the up and downstairs due to some weird wiring situations. Similarly, low on outlets but there is at least one per wall and one on the ground by the railing.

Who do you use for your website?

I've used Squarespace for years because of their ecommerce ability, but they are raising their price beyond what I'm willing to tolerate. What website hosts/builders do you use? How do you integrate ecommerce?

Does something connect these foods?

So I have always hated mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, hummus, and greek yogurt. Like, gag if it even gets close to my mouth level of hate. Is there something these foods all have in common? I've also never been able to tolerate beer, wine, or coffee if that helps. I'm trying to figure out if there's a particular flavor element I can't do.

Cold Lunch Ideas

There is no AC where I work. I am boiling, but all of the gluten free foods I've become familiar with are gross not heated up. Looking for advice on some good gluten free lunch ideas!

Challenges:

There is no good gluten free bread option near me. Like, they exist, but if I even try to make a sandwhich they crumble

I'm in the US so a little afraid of eating uncooked produce at the moment

Budget. I gotta stay cheap

I don't like things like pasta salad or potato salad. No vingers, mayonnaises, aoilis. Basically, I have a child's taste buds despite being an adult

Must be able to meal prep. I work 12 hour days, so there's no way I'm cooking every day or even for the nest day.

My current meal setup: My typical go to is some chicken and rice. Pasta with a creamy sauce and sausage. Tacos. Steak. Mashed potatoes. salmon but I don't want to bring the person who brings fish to work and stinks up the place.

Edit: someone suggested I add the things I do like since I'm a picky eater.

Primogeniture with no clear heir

So I have a character who's become queen of a country. She's an orphan. They accept her brother as a satisfactory heir while marriage situations are happening, but her brother is killed in the plot of the book. What would a monarchy do in this situation? How do they determine an heir when there's no family tree to trace back, and the monarch shows no sign of a child soon? I know hisotrically the search for an heir has caused a lot of problems (cough cough Henry) but I feel like it would be different with a female monarch and risk of death in childbirth?

Edit: Realizing I didn't make this clear. She is not queen by birthright. She was an orphan nobody and has conquered a country and taken the throne. There is no lineage to trace back and find a fourth cousin

Should I be concerned I've never seen a rheumatologist?

I see rheumatologists discussed on here a ton. Mostly complaining about them being bad, but it also seems like it's a step everyone takes.

I've never seen a rheumatologist. My PCP when I was in school ran a bunch of blood tests, including RA and lupus and lyme (I think, it's been a minute) and found nothing. She made no further efforts to pursue a cause of pain, and I suffered all through college until my next PCP heard about my pain and offered me an hEDS diagnosis on the spot.

Now, I'm super grateful she took my pain seriously. She's set up referrals and gotten me with a hypermobility specialized PT, sent referrals for genetic testing, and has overall been supportive.

I don't think I have hEDS. At the very least I don't meet the diagnostic criteria because of the whole ruling out everything else line. I had her make it HSD. But after being on this sub long enough I'm starting to wonder if I need to see a rheumatologist? Or are they all just useless and if I have PCP support just stick with that?

DIY Regrets

I'm still pretty early in my planning process, and debating what to DIY. I'm wondering what are things people regret DIYing? Do you regret choosing to DIY it, or just how you accomplished it? Tell your cautionary tales.

What to do with your free hand?

I've finally started to get comfortable enough with my footwork and the basics of dancing to start caring about style and how I look. Up until now, I've always just kinda held my hand bent at my side, like a t-rex but lower, so it's right there if a lead wants to take it. Now, I am realizing that that probably doesn't look good and might be making my movements a bit stiffer. What are some ideas for just starting to incorporate arms/style? I have no dance experience before this, so I'm also working on musicality and just getting comfortable beyond the mechanics.

First Project Pan Win!

Part of how I'm decluttering without feeling tremendous guilt about waste is trying to use up all my makeup products instead of just tossing them. I had my first big win today. I used my pressed powder low enough that it shattered, then used the shattered bit for a while, and now it is finally ready to toss. This is the first time I've ever used make-up up in my entire life. I've tossed makeup before that was like expired or I didn't like, but never because I used it all.

New Cover Designer Later in the Series

I'm about mid-way through my series, and have loved my cover designer so far. Well, she's having some health issues and won't be able to do my next cover on the timeline I need. Does anyone have experience with having a new cover designer match existing covers? Any recommendations? (only taking recommendations from other authors at this time).

Stamps

I keep seeing things saying to order your wedding stamps now before prices go up. I don't even know what my invitations or save the dates will look like yet. I do have an approximate guest count (80). How many stamps should I order? What kind? I want to order ahead and save money but I just don't know what I need.

Just to clarify: This isn't so much about the stamp image. I know how to select flowers, and also that most guests won't care. It's about are forever stamps the kind to get and how many are needed for a typical invitation?

Mortal Usher Vital Strike clarification

I'm going to be taking my first level in Mortal Usher soon (coming from warpriest) and am trying to understand the abilities before I have to use them in game. I think I've got most of it figured out, but some wording of the vital strike feat is confusing me.

When you use the attack action, you can make one attack at your highest base attack bonus that deals additional damage. Roll the weapon’s damage dice for the attack twice and add the results together before adding bonuses from Strength, weapon abilities (such as flaming), precision-based damage, and other damage bonuses. These extra weapon damage dice are not multiplied on a critical hit, but are added to the total.

What is my highest base attack bonus? I'm a convert from DND, so I haven't interacted with this a lot, but as far as I understood it there was only one BAB for a character? Unless that counts weapons, but that goes against my understanding of a BAB?

Basically, when making an attack with this feat, I roll the dice and what number am I adding? Just my BAB? Some combo of BAB and weapon? Something else made weird by the multiclass?

▲ 21 r/Hobbies

How many hobbies can you realistically maintain?

I have done tons of things I've considered hobbies over my life, but now that I'm an adult I feel so short on time. I still enjoy these things when I do them, but time/space/financial resources feel prohibitive.

How do you decide which to drop as resources get tighter? How does it not feel like betraying the time you've already put into these things?

Hobbies I'd do if I had unlimited resources: sewing, reading, embroidery, tv, writing, photoshop, boardgames, dancing, soccer, fencing, miscellaneous crafting, calligraphy, theater, cosplay, gardening, interior design, video games

Day 2 and Beyond

I have wavy/curly hair depending on the day. The kind that's mostly straight on top because of weight and how it dries. I usually use a mousse and gel in the shower, scrunch, plop, then air dry because I can't tolerate the position or noise long enough to diffuse.

My hair only ever looks good on wash day. Day 2-3 it just, for lack of a better word, falls apart. The bottom layers loses it's curl. The top layers becomes a frizzy mess. I usually have to tie it back into a braid.

I sleep with it in a pineapple or a braid, secured with a silk scrunchie, on a silk pillowcase.

I don't know what else I can do to make day 2-3 look okay? I hear people talk about a refresh but all the ones I've seen just look like basically doing another wash day except for the scalp.

Any advice?
