Why are progressives saying Carney is a Conservative?

Reading the Beaverton article (I know it’s bs and satire) but they are straight up saying that Carney is Harper in disguise. Would a conservative government ever bail out a private developer like this?

So why do you think they try to label him this way?

Leafs Fan Night Idea This Year - Let's Start Planning.

Yo. I know this fan base is the best in the world. I also know that tickets are so damn expensive that most of us are lucky to go to even one game.

So my idea, is to plan an unofficial fan night. One where we get all the real fans in the building on the same night.

It will have to be a random Tuesday against Utah or whatever, but with this subreddit, I think it would be amazing.

Anyone ever tried this before? What am I missing that we need to make this happen?

It usually gets released in early July, so - some time still to plan.

Lombardi on Twitter: Wants Electoral Reform --> Proportional Representation

Y'all can hate him, but maybe listen to him and read his stuff before you judge.

The quote on Twitter:

"So, if elected Premier, I will be deliberate in humbling my own power for the long term good of our democracy.

That starts with three reforms.

  1. Electoral reform toward a proportional voting system. Every vote should matter, and everyone deserves responsive local representation.

Your vote as a rural liberal should matter. Your vote as an urban conservative should, too.

  1. A smaller cabinet with fewer ministers (Eg 15), but greater authority, profile, independence, and accountability.

There should be many competitive political figures in a party, not just the leader. This also aligns with stronger institutions with more state capacity.

  1. A greater role for MPPs, including opposition members, in the legislative process.

It would also make the job more attractive because many MPPs want to do real work, but get hamstrung. Ontario does not need more days, weeks, and months of whatever.

Electoral reform toward a proportional voting system. Every vote should matter, and everyone deserves responsive local representation.

Your vote as a rural liberal should matter. Your vote as an urban conservative should, too."

PS, I don't actually think proportional is the best way - I prefer ranked ballot but they're both better than first past the post.
