I need to know…is Hank Batman?

I need to know…is Hank Batman?

Rewatching Venture Bros. again and was thinking about Hank as the Bat and how he basically was Batman (skills speaking at least).

Remember the episode with Venturestien and U.R.G.H**.** (United Repressed Grotesque Humanity)? His bat skills really came out in that episode or was it all those coffee beans he ate?

I think it’s just Hank being Hank? He was always skilled for some reason though. The episode where he basically passes S.P.H.I.N.X** **exam?

I think Dr. Rusty Venture purposely gave him better abilities than Dean? Rusty did say “I see so much of myself in that boy.” This could be his ego-syntonic** **version that he see as himself?

Disabling Emergency Alerts

So this is interesting. Last week, in the US (northeast), we received an emergency alert on our phones for a tornado warning.

Small storm came out of nowhere and storm didn’t last long or wasn’t even that bad, but I was understand why (I’d rather get warnings I don’t need than no warnings at all).

So my thought is, are we slowly being conditioned about warnings? So that we no longer even look at what they say?

Then, when the big dogs eat, the clock strikes midnight , the warnings go off and no one’s even cares?

Awaking in a panic?

How many people have either awoken, or at some point during the day, just started panicking that you forgot to take your RA meds after you already took them?

One of My Personal Favorites

Season 4, episode 13 titled "Bright Lights, Dean City.”

I never really care about this episode the first time through (I liked Hank’s and HankCo episode better). I know stupid.

NOW I think it’s my favorite episodes. And the scene with the Serial Killer Bear…

Venture Bros. Bif Bang POW

I’ve always been a “Venture Bros” fan, but was never able go to comic con, over a decade, to find these toys.

Does this lock-in your TIPS?

This is what I do immediately after I get a decent tip.

Probably doesn’t do anything, but I pretend it locks in the tip and the customer can’t change it after you “thank them.”

Any thoughts?

GMOs and seedless produce!

So I’m in the produce section and see all these fruits: grapes, watermelon, oranges, etc. that all say “seedless.”

One’s mind immediately goes to that’s convenient, but thinking deeper, I thought, is this to keep us from growing our own food?

I recently started a garden this year and fear I’m probably too late.

Who knows Buckwheat?

So I went out of town once, they had a gf cafe and they made everything from BUCKWHEAT.

Buckwheat pancakes, waffles, bread for delicious breakfast sandwiches, and the list goes on…

It was so good I thought I had consumed real bread/gluten and they were just lying to me.

But no issues, so back home all I can find is one brand of buckwheat flour and it’s not even gluten free (cut with real flour).

Research lead me to the crop itself, where I learned not only is it difficult to grow, but harvesting it is the real challenge (special machines and junk are needed). This explain the price tag too.

So I guess my questions are:

Is it really gluten free, right?

Who knows anymore information about buckwheat? Like and bread companies that make it where I can order it from? Like I said I’m from small town with limited options.

Buckwheat flour recipes?

Blood and Gluten

This could only happen to me:

I was outside doing yard work when I cut my hands (yes both) trying to replace weed wacker wire/string.

I came rushing inside to use the sink. My right hand was cut far worse on my palm. In my bloody crisis I had not realized my wife had flour out by the sink. She never had flour out, but she was making regular cookies for a baby shower.

As I was washing off my right hand in the sink, I had put my left hand on the counter, right in the flour. Why I’d do this idk? I really don’t know why, my brain was in panic mode.

The left hand that went in the flour ended up having a pretty decent cut too. Not enough for stitches but enough to make a lil pink dough ball on my hand.

So can gluten get in bloodstream and cause damage and flareups?

So tired of explaining what RA is to people.

I am so tired of having to explain what RA is to people.

No your arthritis is not the same as my rheumatoid arthritis.

I guess people genuinely don’t care about your medical problems…even family and friends.

I am so tired of hearing “suck it up” from people.

I’m sure there are other with different autoimmune diseases and have same problem?

SO SICK OF EXPLAINING WHAT “RA” IS TO PEOPLE

I’m am so sick of having to tell people, especially my family, what RA actually is, and how bad it can be…

It’s bad enough I have this shit disease and now I’m forced to repeat myself over and over.

Also does anyone, who doesn’t have RA, just keep telling you to “suck it up” when you have to cancel plans due to flare up, soreness or just plain fatigue?

If I had a super power- zap- have a taste of RA people and then you WON’T FORGET!

Smoking and flare-ups

I recently stopped smoking cannabis, still eat it, but was wondering if smoking (because it causes inflammation) can trigger flareups? My RA doc is terrible and never had a straight answer (I assume he can’t answer that question).

I’m waiting on referral to new doc, but can anyone elaborate on this further?
