Technician appointments cost???
I just got my first internet bill. At the beginning of the month I had trouble setting up my internet so I needed to wait a few days for a technician to come set up my internet for me. It turns out I was being silly and was using the wrong port. I apparently had one port that was painted over by the landlord, and one port (hidden behind my moving boxes, oops) that was the correct one. I went internetless for a week because I was silly. Totally on me. They sent a technician out for me and explicitly told me it would not cost extra. The technician arrived on his scheduled day, was there for literally five minutes while he found the right port, plugged in the router, and had me finish the setup on my app on my phone. I woke up this morning to pay my bill and was hit with a $100 technician charge. The agent was able to waive it immediately but is this normal? And why did they tell me it would be free In the original chats?
