High split question

As of early last month it as been confirmed that the psychical work for my area has been completed for high split but still no estimated date of activation. On average how long does it take for them to flip the switch and enable it?

Verizon UW vs Spectrum 1 Gig pre high split

Wired test for my internet results in nearly identical results, albeit slightly lower ping at around 13

spectrum gig pre high split

not to shabby for wifi especially considering i’m not in the same room as the router

is this amount of condensation normal to be on a side of a compressor?

unit is performing normally and it is relatively hot and relatively humid outside if that makes any difference

Router CPU usage only pushing one core?

what’s the point of having a quad core processor in a router if it’s only gonna use one core anyway? i’m downloading steam games on 2 devices, one wifi and one ethernet, 1 gig internet plan

RT86u Pro router, latest firmware, enabling and disabling Aiprotect and traffic monitor and qos have made little difference

High split enabled, but not at the same time?

being a spectrum mobile customer I understand they have speed boost hotspots on spectrum provided routers but what I don’t get is with this upload speed I’m getting it shows me that high split is probably enabled for my node and my neighborhood but what’s the point of only making those speeds accessible through the spectrum mobile Wi-Fi hotspot if it’s already there and working

Is my setup performing as good as it can?

So Im hosting a NAS and exit node from house with spectrum internet with 500/20 plan, im about 64 miles away where theres frontier fiber and if I do a "tracert" ping to my exit node on windows or test the ping to my exit node on my phone it seems to average around 29-34ms of ping round trip, Is considered good for a fiber/hfc setup? My exit node/nas is plugged in via ethernet to a switch that goes to my router.

how does spectrum or any cable provider perform for you?

My speeds on paper are pretty ok but that doesn't mean stability is always there...

High split and long coax run

So i’ve been doing some looking on reddit and i’ve seen alot of people who have long drops from the pole to house sometimes have issues with unstable connection after high split is enabled and it made me wonder what are the chances im going to be one of them? My house is roughly 700ft from the road and if it makes any difference there’s and amp just before it goes underground to my house.

Nice little “upgrade” for the house.

got bored and decided to 3d print light switch plates that glow in the dark for the bathrooms and bedrooms

getting told 2 different things

so I had asked one of the spectrum employees from their official Twitter and forms page about high split upgrades in my area and the person from Twitter said between May 20 and June 3 there will be upgrades being done in my area and to expect outages, but I never received an email about it from spectrum and the person on the forms page said there is no scheduled work for the next couple weeks, so I don’t know which do I believe? should I call them too and ask?

Time for new battery already?

So I put a new battery into my dell latitude 7420 (63WH battery) last February and the wear level was around 7% i think which from what ive read is considered normal. I just checked the wear level again and its up to 22.6% in just over a year, Which is getting more noticeable compared to when it was new since ive been using my laptop more on battery recently. Did I just get unlucky and get a poor quality battery? Its an OEM Dell battery too.
