Student in Pakistan investing monthly in PSX – Should I stick with stocks or learn Forex?

Hi everyone,

I'm a bachelor's student in Pakistan, and I've recently started investing some of my savings through JSInvest Pro in the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

Since I'm still a student, I don't have a fixed income. Whenever I save some money, I invest it:

  • PKR 1,000 sometimes
  • PKR 2,000–3,000 in months when I can save more

My goal isn't to get rich quickly. I want to build wealth gradually and develop good investing habits over the long term.

Recently, I've been thinking about whether I should continue investing in PSX or start learning Forex trading.

I'd love some advice from people with experience in investing and trading.

Here are my questions:

  • Is investing in PSX better than Forex for long-term wealth building?
  • As a student with limited monthly savings, what would you recommend?
  • In 1–2 years, when I graduate and hopefully start earning a salary, should I:
    • Continue investing only in PSX?
    • Invest in PSX while also trading Forex?
    • Shift mainly to Forex?
    • Or consider another investment option that's better than both?

I'd appreciate any advice, especially from people who have experience with the Pakistan Stock Exchange, Forex, ETFs, index funds, or other long-term investment strategies.

Thanks!

2.30 GPA in BS Data Science – Can I Still Get MS Admission Abroad?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently pursuing a BS in Data Science at one of Pakistan's top engineering/CS universities. After 6 semesters, my CGPA is around 2.30. I still have 2 semesters left and will try my best to improve it, but I can't guarantee a significant increase.

My long-term goal is to pursue an MS abroad and eventually build my career outside Pakistan. My family can arrange a budget of around PKR 90 lakh–1.2 crore for higher education.

I wanted to ask:

  • Is admission to an MS program abroad still realistic with a final GPA that may remain around 2.3–2.5?
  • Which countries or universities are known to be more flexible regarding GPA?
  • Would strong projects, internships, AI/ML skills, certifications, GRE, and IELTS help offset a low GPA?
  • Should I apply immediately after graduation or gain some work experience first?

I'd really appreciate honest advice, especially from anyone who got into an MS program abroad with a lower-than-average GPA.

Thanks!

Anyone interested in building a small remote software team?

Hey everyone,

I'm a Data Science student and I've been thinking about starting a small remote software team with people who want to gain experience, work on real projects, and hopefully turn it into something bigger over time.

Right now, I'm mainly interested in AI, machine learning, data analytics, automation, and web applications, but I'm open to other ideas as well.

I'm looking for people who are willing to learn, contribute, and grow together. You don't need years of experience. If you're a student, beginner, freelancer, or someone who enjoys building things, feel free to reach out.

Some skills that could be useful:

  • AI/ML
  • Python
  • Web Development
  • UI/UX Design
  • Mobile App Development
  • Data Analytics / Power BI
  • Marketing or Client Outreach

Just to be transparent, this isn't a funded startup and there are no salaries right now. The plan is to build projects, create a portfolio, find clients, and share earnings from any work we get.

My goal is to surround myself with people who are serious about improving their skills and creating something meaningful instead of just working on random tutorial projects.

If this sounds interesting, send me a message and tell me:

  • What you're currently learning or working on
  • Your skill level
  • Any projects you've built
  • What you'd like to get out of joining

Let's see if we can build something cool together.

  • RAG Applications
  • Automation Solutions
  • Data Analytics Dashboards
  • Web Applications
  • Business Software Solutions

Who should join?

  • Students looking to gain real-world experience
  • Freelancers wanting to collaborate on larger projects

Khurram Zeeshan and Ahmad Khan Niazi (Imran Khan’s security guard) have announced a long march from Tank to Swabi, calling for the release of Imran Khan.

According to early details, the march is part of a wider effort to build pressure, and the next course of action (لائحہ عمل / future strategy) will be announced once participants reach Swabi.

Supporters are expected to join along the route, with more updates on timing and organization likely to follow.

Do you think this march will make an impact?
