Got bored while on a call I didn't need to be on this morning. I'm looking at 62 for full retirement if all doesn't go to shit.

Just think, you could be on the exact other side, where people think you're older than you actually are. I had a friend in HS who looked older, he started growing facial hair the summer before freshman year, come senior year, he was able to grow a full-on beard. This didn't help being around friends without looking sketchy (especially around girls). By the time we finished college, he was starting to go bald. Anyway...just think about what you wish for.

I realize this is more applicable to xennials, but kind of something to think of.

Being 46 is wild.
People your age are living completely different lives.
Some are grandparents.
Some just had their first kid.
Some are newly divorced.
Some are newly engaged.
Some haven't slept in three years.
Some are going to St. Tropez next weekend.
Some look 55.
Some look 25.
Nobody got the same memo.

I'm ready to be roasted, but there was something satisfying about UNOs.

Do you think color-matched cladding (a lighter shade of blue, or a contrasting color) would bring back the vibe that Subaru had in the late '90s to early/mid-aughts?

The black unfinished cladding hasn't grown on me after 2.5 months of ownership.

Knowing your dislike of the suburbs (and I'm convinced that you all have never seen well designed suburbs, in the same way some people believe all cities are shitholes, but that's a different subject), do you all believe there's such a thing as too much space? I have 2500 square feet to myself, but that works for me...how much do you all need?

I ask this because larger homes generally lead to sprawl.

Does anyone feel like the first half of the year was great in terms of investing? I started the year at $600k, and am currently a little north of $700k, but it feels like it's levelled off since June.

I had a '96 Geo Prizm (almost a Corolla clone) from new, after 11 years I was ready for a new car. At 100k miles, I stopped doing oil changes (however I would top it off as it got low), and ignored all other maintenance. The car continued to run another 4 years, and about 50k miles before I gave up on trying to kill it. It surprisingly still passed emissions inspection when I got rid of it.

It was only a matter of time before someone complained about the I-95 HOT lane tolls, but it seems many forget that they're free if you've got three people in your car.

You all really need to familiarize yourselves with FlyerTalk. Do a quick Google search of 'FlyerTalk cars available at <3 letter IATA code>, it'll return a thread of recent experiences at said airport, some people even post pictures.

EA/EE will always be hit or miss, depending on weather, time of year, local events, etc.. if you need a particular car class, book it. If you want to chance it, book EA/EE, then make a backup for the car class you want about an hour later. Cancel the reservation you don't use. Don't cheat, pay for the reservation you use.

Be nice to the lot attendant. They may pull a car from somewhere else (or even from the Alamo or Enterprise side), or know where something cool is parked.

I decided to run the question through Gemini, and then verify the answers with a friend of mine who works for a builder, and Gemini was correct, so here are some reasons:

• Grade Alteration and Soil Leveling: To prevent flooding and ensure proper drainage, developers have to heavily re-grade the land. Adding or removing even a few inches of soil over a tree's root zone cuts off its oxygen supply and kills it over a few years.
• Root Zone Destruction: A tree’s critical root zone extends far past its branches. Heavy machinery driving over the ground crushes these roots (soil compaction), while digging trenches for foundations slices right through them, making the tree unstable and dying anyway.
