Ok so, i currently have a pc with windows 11 installed, it has a main ssd where the os is installed and an extra 2tb hdd disk for storing data

I am thinking of changing to steamOS for a few reasons, and although the data on the os drive can be erased without really much issue, i was wondering if i could mount the hdd drive on steamOS without losing the data?

When i reinstalled windows 11 it allowed me to do that after all, fresh install, mount drive, and everything was intact, i wonder if there's a similar option for steamOS or if i should just pass all the data onto an external drive instead

Has anyone seen where to buy them yet? Either to change the part if it comes in another color or because the part got damaged? If i put "red magic 11 liquid cooler" or any common sense combination in a store i usually get an external cooler

let me start with explaining one thing, i live outside the us, but since international shipping is not only expensive to where i live, but also a nightmare due to goverment managed mail systems, i use a PO box, that's what i think is called in english, basically an adress in the us from a private delivery company that consolidates all the stuff and makes one simple shipping, is more efficient, cheaper and things arrive to me without hassle

them comes uniuni, who, are now on the second time they seem to be unable to deliver because, and this is what makes me more livid about this, "there was no one in the delivery adress"

this is not my first time buying stuff, i have bought from GS for about 2 years using this methos, i have bough stuff from USAGS, even amazon when something cannot be shipped directly to my country, the adress is correctly set in the SHOP system as i have been using it all this time, the PO Box in question is always open and available, they don't close, that's their fricking job, and i have received stuff in holydays wihtout trouble

even with USPS as the shipping method things weren't that bad, because at least the known issue there is that they only delayed the actual delivery, but uniuni is not only doing fake attemps at delivery, which is what i think it is, delivery guy is lazy, don't want to do rounds so they just put "sorry no one at home" them go back to sleep, but according to them, if it happens again they will return my package back, because of course they would

GS really needs to find a solution for the basic shipping, i mean sure the order that it happened is just a tub and a shirt, worse scenario i lost 70$, but my christmas in july haul was sent yesterday, by uniuni, and i will be really angry if the same bullshit happens again with that one

i just asked support about it, their answer was "yeah no duh we can't do anything about it because is the carrier issue now, go talk wiht them" and uniuni great customer support is just a chatbot, great service there

I'm looking for some advice on optimization. I currently run a Ugreen DXP2800 with 1 NVMe SSD and 1 HDD.

My current arr-stack workflow is configured so that all active downloads go directly to the SSD. Once a download completes, it immediately transfers over to the HDD for long-term storage. This setup works perfectly(for the most part), but I’ve run into an annoying issue with my HDD spin-up habits.

I have HDD hibernation enabled to save power and reduce noise. However, if a single episode finishes downloading at 2 AM, the NAS wakes up, spins up the drive, moves that one file, and goes back to sleep. This happens multiple times a day/night just for single file transfers.

My question: Is there a way to configure the arr-stack (or a script/tool) to batch these transfers so they only happen once a day?

Ideally, I’d love for everything to download to the SSD throughout the day, but wait to transfer all accumulated files to the HDD in a single batch (say, every night at 8 PM). This way, the HDD only spins up once instead of every time a single file finishes.

Has anyone set up something similar or have a recommended workaround for this?

Each time i print something, it generates a substantial amount of poops before actually printing, i know it has to do this because the printer assumes unknown filament prior, but i kinda checked by eye and in two poops it already was the correct color, it did 5 poops anyway

I am not going to complain like it makes it a defective product, but is there maybe a setting i am not aware of? Something that tells it to do less pre print flushing?

Ok so, i am having a headache trying to remember this, i am sure that, back in 2014 i heard on YouTube a song, it was a cover of a vocaloid song because i heard both versions

The song was about a character that was getting body parts, until right at the end it rejected them saying it didn't need them, the thumbnail was an anime girl with a medical eye patch in soft blue pastel colors

That's everything i remember, not who was doing the cover, the actual name of the song or who made it, anyone wants to help me guess on this one?

media server: DXP2800 with jellyfin configured, access is by tailscale when outside of home network

issue: i live in a 3rd world country where mobile network is a joke, my carrier says we have 5G but signal outside of capital cities is on good days 4G tops

when i am in the capital city, where i know signal is available 100% my setup works for the most part, i can view series while i am in the office at work, problem is when i try to do the same on the commute.....or when i am at home but not on the same network, i would like to blame my mobile network, but at the same time i can, for example, enter youtube and videos load there

problem is, i don't know what to blame here, it could be a problem from mobile network, jellyfin, tailscale, phone? any way to narrow the issue?

i have a dxp2800 and just a few days ago i got it a 10tb wdred HDD, the question is, aboput the sleep setting option, how good is for the drive? i mostly use the nas so far for my media server and that's it, roughly all chapters are about 25 minutes, so i assume is better to set the disk to not sleep so early? the default configuration is 20 minutes

Currently i have a problem with this hobby, The problem being my room is full of the boxes from the girls and a few other kits, and i might need to do something about it soon, so, what do you all people do with the parts that aren't the girls?

I saw someone making cards once with the boxes, but what about the manuals? Extra runners?

a few months ago i was drinking gamersupps for the gym, and one of the big helps was the caffeine boost as i usually go early in the morning, but recently i changed to the gameraid since that one was supposed to be for actually going to the gym(or at least i remember that was the initial bit on it but now the page info says "for anyfight" instead)

the lack of caffeine i do feel it, so, maybe i can mix 1 scoop of gamersupps with it? what are you guys thoughs on that?
